How To make Lean Pork Breakfast Patties
3/4 c Shreds of whole bran cereal
1/3 c Apple juice
1/2 lb Center cut pork loin,
Ground 1/4 ts Fennel seed
1/4 ts Dried rosemary leaves,
Crushed 1/8 ts Salt
1/8 ts Hot pepper flakes
In medium bowl, combine cereal and apple juice; let stand 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Shape into six patties. Heat broiler. Place patties on oiled broiler pan. Broil 4-5 inches from heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until no longer pink. Makes 6 patties. Microwave directions: Prepare patties as directed above. Place on microwave-safe roasting rack; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on high for 5-6 minutes or until no longer pink, turning patties and rearranging once halfway through cooking. Per serving: calories 80; protein 10g; carb 7g; dietary fiber 2g; fat 3g (0 polyunsaturated, 1 saturated); cholesterol 24 mg; sodium 140mg; potassium 230 mg; exchanges: 1 lean meat, 1/2 starch.

How to Cook Sausage Patties
This is how to cook sausage patties! Cooking sausage patties is simple and you can buy pre-formed sausage patties at the grocery store or buy a chub of sausage and cut your own sausage patties. I prefer to buy the pre-cut sausage patties because I can simply pull them out of the package and cook them! I use a generous amount of butter or margerine (about 4 tablespoons) and heat the skillet just below medium heat. A skillet that is too hot may flame up, produce smoke and burn the sausage. It could also ruin the skillet! The secret is to flip the sausage periodically while cooking. Repeat this process until the sausage has developed a done-looking exterior and then cut into the sausage to ensure that it's cooked all of the way through. It goes without saying that thicker cuts of sausage patties will take longer to cook! #SausagePatties #Howto #Cooking

EXTRA LEAN Pork Sausage
Ground Pork Sausage made from Pork Loin This recipe will have directions for each pound of meat that you will have to grind.. ! Pork Loin Trimmed ( Cut into 1 inch peices and trim fat then cut into strips For every pound of Pork that you will have you will add the follwing directions. Example 6 lbs of Pork will need 6 Tablespoons of the Leggs Pork Sausage Seasoning...I purchase mine from Amazon this recipe will also work making Italian Sausage by using LEGGS Sweet Italian Sausage seasoning...
1 TBSP Leggs Pork Sausage Seasoning Per 1 lb of pork
1/8 tsp Cracked Red Pepper Flakes,
1/8 tsp Garlic Powder
1/8 tsp Onion Powder
1/8 tsp Black Pepper
Cut and trim fat off of pork loin and cut into strips then weigh the meat and add the amount of seasoning needed for each lb of meat that you have.. Add the seasonings to the meat and mix well. Make sure that you mix the meat well before you grind it.. Use a meat grinder to grind the meat. Store in labeled freezer bags in the freezer. WIll taste nice and fresh up to 6 months stored in the freezer..
How to Make Breakfast Sausage Patties from Ground Pork
Nothing is better than a savory sausage patty for brunch, or in a breakfast sandwich. These cook up fast, and they are very easy to freeze for quick use later on (I cook a big batch, then thaw one for breakfast when I want one). Or, this seasoning would be a great base for biscuits and sausage gravy, or when you put sausage in a casserole.

For every Pound of Meat:
1/2 Tablespoon or 1.5 teaspoon of brown sugar/molasses
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon salt (I use smoked salt)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon oregano or marjoram
pinch of pepper flakes
pinch of ground cloves
