1 cup sugar 2 eggs 3/4 cup milk 3/4 cup cold mashed potato 3 3/4 cups flour 1/4 cup melted shortening 1 teaspoon vanilla 4 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 teaspoon ginger Mix sugar and eggs, add milk and potato. Add shortening and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients, add and mix well. Chill 1 hour before frying. Roll, cut out and fry in deep fat at 375.

With the help of my mom, I'm going to try some of their most popular flavors including Dark Chocolate Sea Salt, Cinamon Sugar, Bacon Maple, Maine Blueberry with Blueberry Glaze, Mixed Berry, and Honey Lavender.
My family took a road trip down to Maine and we had to stop in Scarborough Maine to try out these famous potato donuts. The Holy Donut is a local donut shop that started in Portland Maine and became so popular, they opened two other stores within 3 years.
The thing that makes these donuts so special is that they are made with mashed potatoes from Maine. This makes the donuts super moist and delicious. They even offer Vegan donuts and Gluten-Free donuts.
