How To make Malaysian Stir Fried Beef with Vegetables
1 lb Flank steak
2 ts Cornstarch
1 t Brown sugar
5 tb Soy sauce
1/4 c Peanut oil
1 c Cauliflower, small florets
1/2 c Green pepper, thinly sliced
1 c Carrots, matchstick size
1 c Mushrooms, sliced thin
1 c Bean sprouts, fresh
2 ts Ginger, fresh grated
2 ts Garlic, minced
1. Place the steak on a flat surface and, using a
sharp knife, cut against the grain into slices about 2-in. wide. Slice each piece of steak horizontally
into 2 or 3 pieces. Stack the slices and cut into 1/4-in. strips. 2. Add the cornstrach to the steak and
toss to coat. Place the steak in a bowl and sprinkle over the sugar and soy sauce. Set aside. 3. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok or large skillet and add the cauliflower, green pepper and carrot. Cook, stirring, until crisp-tender. 4. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring, about 30 sec. longer. Add the bean sprouts and stir-fry for a few sec. longer. 5. Remove the vegetables with a slotted spoon and set aside. 6. Add the remaining oil to the wok or skillet. When it is very hot, add the ginger and garlic and cook, stirring, for a few sec. Add the steak and cook, shaking the wok and stirring the strips of steak to separate them and cook evenly, about 1-2 min. 7. Return the vegetables to the wok and toss quickly over high heat, then serve.

Equipment
A wok, skillet, or sauté pan
Ingredients
Stir-fry sauce
3 tablespoons soy sauce, regular or light
1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine sub: Chinese cooking wine, dry sherry, or sake
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon sesame oil, dark-colored variety
½ cup water
For the stir-fry
1 pound flank steak (see note)
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 medium onion sliced into strips
1 medium red bell pepper sliced into strips
3 scallions cut into 2-inch sections
2 teaspoons minced ginger
4 cloves garlic minced
Ground pepper to taste
Neutral-flavored oil for searing and sautéing
Instructions
1. Make the sauce by combining soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, and ½ cup of water. Set aside.
2. Slice the meat thinly (about ¼ inch) against the grain or across the muscle fibers.
3. Add 2 tablespoons of stir-fry sauce to the meat and mix them together.
4. Add baking soda and cornstarch. Mix them well, so they are evenly distributed. Velvet the meat for about 15 minutes while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
5. Set your wok or skillet over high heat. Add a bit of oil to coat the bottom when the pan is almost smoking. Spread the meat in a single layer.
6. Sear for about 2 minutes without touching them. Let the other side brown for another minute. Transfer to a plate.
7. Cook onions and red bell peppers for a minute until slightly blistered. Add scallions and push them to one side. Slightly lower the heat at this point.
8. Add a bit of oil and sauté ginger and garlic for about 30 seconds. Toss them all together.
9. Add meat and sauce to the pan. Let the sauce slightly thicken for about 30 seconds.
10. Add some ground pepper and mix them together. Turn off the heat.

Beef stir fry that tastes like nothing else. Recipe:
#beefstirfry #stirfrybeef #chinesebeef
The spicy dry-fried beef is a perfect example of the dry-frying technique unique to Sichuan cuisine. The shredded beef is un-marinated, quickly stir fried in a wok to drive off the moisture and intensify the beef flavor. The shredded beef will be stir fried twice with aromatic spices to absorb more flavor. The end result is spicy and aromatic beef with crispy and chewy bites.
The key to this dish is to control the temperature when dry frying the beef, otherwise the shredded beef can be easily overcooked.

Asian stir fried vegetables
It’s hard to pass on a plate of freshly stir-fried vegetables. Especially Asian style cooked in a hot wok. You can still use a frying pan on your domestic stove.
This recipe is so simple, quick to make and makes a great side dish to any Asian meal. If going meatless, you could easily make this your complete meal with a serve of rice. There’s plenty of nourishment and it’s a well-balanced healthy meal.
It’s best to first blanch the broccoli and carrots, but don’t overcook them, you still want to retain a bit of bite after stir frying. If you have a powerful wok burner, crank it up at the very end to get that smoky flavour. If not, don’t worry the verges will still be amazing! Always serve immediately, hot of the wok.
