Meeting President Reagan nude at the White House
For this fun episode, we honor the witty and bright charm of one of the titans of the American presidency; Ronald Reagan. A long-term Hollywood star on the silver screen - he married his second wife, an actor (in the old days they were called an actress) more famous than himself, Anne Frances Robbins (after being adopted she became Nancy Davis). Together, he and Nancy Davis Reagan made the stars align and took on the most powerful home in the world - the White House.
Serving in a 600-ship Navy then, I can openly state our military and presidential staff loved them both. Ronnie and Mommy (as they called one another) celebrated the facts of their connections due to his presidency of the Screen Actors Guild and being Governor of California. When Reagan left office in January 1989, he held an approval rating of 68%, matching those of Franklin D. Roosevelt, and later Bill Clinton, as the highest ratings for departing presidents in the modern era.

Nancy Reagan's Macaroons - Marshmallowy, Light, and Airy
This was clipped by my grandmother and these macaroons were apparently advertised in some sort of magazine. They are super quick to make, and they're marshmallowy, light, and airy. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 egg whites
3/4 cups sugar
dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
7 oz. shredded coconut
green food coloring (optional)
Add egg whites, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract, and combine. Add flour and stir until well blended. Fold in coconut and food coloring. Drop dough about 1 inch apart and bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 - 20 minutes. Let cool entirely and then peel foil from cookies.
How to Make Meringue Bars With Ice Cream | Moose Tracks Ice Cream
These meringue bars taste even better with Caramel Brownie Moose Tracks Ice Cream. With a toasted bottom crust and cool ice cream, these bars will be delicious any way you slice it!
