How To make Orange Butter Cakes
3 1/2 c Flour
2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
1 c Butter; softened
1 1/3 c Sugar
2 ts Vanilla
2 Eggs
1 c Orange peel; candied
Finely chopped Glaze: 3 c Powdered sugar
3/4 c Grand marnier
6 tb Orange peel candied strips
DESCRIPTION: Dainty little cakes, glazed with Grand Marnier, baked in fancy tartlet tins, are beautiful as well as delicious. Preheat oven to 350. Generously butter 36, 2 1/2-inch tartlet tins. Combine flour, baking powder and salt, set aside. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla and egg, then add grand Marnier 1 TBL at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in flour mixture in 1/2-cup increments, blending after each addition. Stir in orange peel. Fill buttered tins 2/3 full. Use fingertips to press dough into tins so it conforms to sides, level off top of dough. Arrange tins on baking sheets and bake 15-18 minutes until golden. Let cakes rest 3 minutes, then turn out of molds onto a rack over waxed paper. If necessary, use the tip of a knife to loosen cakes from molds. Leave cakes upside down. The bottoms become the tops of cakes. GLAZE: While cakes are baking, prepare glaze. Combine suger and half the Grand Marnier. Add enough additional Grand Marnier to make a smooth creamy glaze of medium consistency. Spoon over warm cookies, covering tops and allowing glaze to drizzle down sides of cakes. Sprinkle a few strips of candied orange peel on top of glazed cookies. Cool completely on racks. Store in airtight container at room temperature 3-4 days, freeze for longer storage. KEY:
- Use SWEET RIPE orange, not bland orange
- Don’t use orange with seeds
- Don’t use orange with thick skin
- Don’t blend the ingredients too long, just enough for the orange to be blended through
DON’T MAKE IT:
- If using this very simple method and you’re looking for a cake with similar texture like Victoria sponge cake or similar
- If you don’t like the natural bitterness of freshly squeezed orange juice

(Griskan dan alaskan dasar loyang dgn kertas minyak)
Baking Mould - 8 inch
(Butter the mould and line the bottom with parchment paper)
Panaskan ketuhar pada suhu 180 C / 350 F dan bakar selama 90 minit atau lidi keluar bersih
apabila dicucuk di tengah kek.
Perheat the oven at 180 C / 350 F and bake for
90 minutes or until the bamboo Stick comes
out clean when insert in the center of the cake.
BAHAN-BAHAN / INGREDIENTS :

Mentega tanpa garam - 1/2 cwn (113.5g)
Unsalted Butter - 1/2 cup (113.5g)
Susu Pekat Manis Penuh Krim - 1 ¼ cwn (345g)
Sweetened Condensed Milk - 1 ¼ cups (345g)
Tepung Gandum - 1 ¾ cwn (210g)
All Purpose Flour - 1 ¾ cup (210g)
Serbuk Penaik - 1 sdkcl
Baking Powder - 1 tspn
Serbuk Penaik Soda - ¼ sdkcl
Baking Soda - ¼ tspn
Garam - ¼ sdkcl
Salt - ¼ tspn
Ekstrak Vanila - 1 sdkcl
Vanilla Ekstract - 1 tspn
Susu Penuh Krim - 7 sdbsr
Full Cream Milk - 7 tbsp
Yogurt Pekat - 2 sdbsr (28g)
Thick Yogurt - 2 tbsp (28g)
Kulit Oren (diparut) - 2 sdkcl
Orange Zest - 2 tspn
Kulit Lemon (diparut) - 1 sdkcl
Lemon Zest - 1 tspn
Oren sunquick (Botol) - 2 sdkcl
Orange sunqunck(Bottle) - 2 tspn

CARA-CARA / METHOD:

1. Ayakan tepung, serbuk penaik dan serbuk
penaik soda. Masukkan garam dan gaul sekata
Sieve the flour, baking powder and baking
soda. Add in salt and whisk a little.
2. Mentega pada suhu bilik dan rasa sejuk
apabila disentuh. Pukul mentega sampai lembut.
Room temperature butter is cool to touch.
Beat the butter until soft.
3. Masukkan Susu pekat manis penuh krim dan Yogurt Pekat. Pukul adunan sampai sebati,
pastikan tidak terlebih pukul.
Add in Sweetened Condensed Milk and Thick Yogurt. Beat the batter until combine, don't over
mix the batter.
4. Masukkan Ekstrak Vanila, Kulit lemon diparut, Kulit limau diparut dan pukul adunan sampai
sebati, pastikan tidak terlebih pukul.
Add in Vanilla Extract, Lemon Zest, Orange
Zest and beat the batter until combine, dont't
over mix the batter.
5. Masukkan Oren Sunkist(Bottle) dan pukul
Add in Orange Sunkist(Bottle) and beat
6. Masukkan sebahagian campuran tepung dan kaupkan adunan. pastikan adunan tidak terlebih gaul.
Add in half of the flour mix and fold the batter, don't over mix the batter
7. Masukkan susu penuh krim sedikit demi sedikit dan kaupkan adunan
Add in the milk gradually and fold the batter
8. Masukkan adunan ke dalam loyang yang disediakan
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking
mould
9. Ketuk Loyang untuk mengeluarkan gelembung udara dari adunan tepung
Tap the baking mould to release the air
bubbles from the batter
10. Ketuhar dipanaskan pd 180C / 350F selama
15 min dan bakar selama 90 minit
Preheat the oven at 180C /350F for 15 min
and bake for 90 minutes
11. Cucukkan lidi buluh di tengah kek untuk memastikan kek masak, pastikan lidi bersih
apabila dikeluarkan.
Insert bamboo stick in the center of the
cake to make sure the cake baked stick comes
out should be clean
12. Keluarkan kek dari loyang selepas 30 minit
dan biarkan sejuk sebelum di hidang
30 minutes later unmould the cake and let
it cool completely before serving

Parutan kulit oren dari 2 biji oren Navel | 9 gram
250 gram tepung gandum | 2 cawan
15 gram tepung jagung | 2 sudu besar
8 gram baking powder | 2 sudu teh
60 ml jus oren segar | 1/4 cawan (sebiji oren dapat dalam 1/4 ~ 1/3 cawan jus)
30 ml susu penuh krim/ susu segar | 2 sudu besar
LOYANG 7 X 7 INCI
SUHU MEMBAKAR :170℃ | 340℉ selama 60~65 minit pada rak paling bawah, api atas bawah sehingga lidi pencucuk bersih jika dicucuk di bahagian tengah kek. Ketuhar dipanaskan selama 15 minit.

200 grams fine granulated sugar/ caster sugar | 1 cup
5 large eggs (room temperature)
9 grams orange zest (from 2 Navel oranges)
250 grams all purpose flour | 2 cups
15 grams corn flour | 2 tbsp
8 grams baking powder | 2 tsp
60 ml orange juice | 1/4 cup (you can get 1/4~1/3 cup juice from 1 orange)
30 ml full cream milk/ fresh milk | 2 tbsp
BAKING PAN : 7 X 7 INCHES
BAKING TEMPERATURE : 170℃ | 340℉ for 60~65 minutes, until inserted skewer comes out clean at bottom rack, top & bottom heat mode. Oven is preheated for 15 minutes.
