Prune Cake Recipe
No this is not an old persons recipe to help them go poop. This is a really good dessert that can be compared to a spice cake. I've been eating it my whole life. Dot is my mother. She's long gone but her recipe lives on and keeps me happy on special occasions.

Making Prune Cake.wmv
This moist spice cake is filled with pieces of sweet prunes and topped with a buttermilk-caramel glaze. It was inspired by a recipe from the late Betty Freezor, who hosted a popular home show in North Carolina in the 1950's through the early 1970's. Simple ingredients combine easily and produce a wonderful cake that is out of the ordinary. Even people who think they don't like prunes will enjoy this cake! Recipe and more at
