Roman-Style Pizza Is the Perfect Pie for Thin-Crust Lovers | Food Skills
In New York City, Neapolitan-style pizza gets a lot of shine. But there's another thin-crust pie from Italy that's worthy of a place in your pizza rotation. At Martina, Roman-style pizza is the main event—a dish defined by its thin, cracker-like crust, sparse layer of sauce, and evenly proportioned toppings. Left in the oven for an extra 30 seconds—an eternity in the eyes of a pizzaiolo—the pie develops a crispy exterior and perfectly charred underside. When at Martina, eat as the Romans do.

My Favorite Key Lime Pie Recipe | Home Movies with Alison Roman
KEY! LIME! PIE! A pie with no season, a timeless pie, my personal favorite pie. If pressed to think of a more perfect dessert, I simply could not. While most key lime pies defer to sweetness over tanginess, this one is decidedly “limey”, which is its best asset, IMO (it was once described by one person as “too limey”, but I dismissed this critique and absorbed it as a compliment!). It is also vaguely tropical (thank you, coconut oil in the crust), has a very healthy ratio of crust to filling, and is topped with a tangy (+1 more tanginess) whipped yogurt/cream combo.
I should also mention that while you could choose to use both a food processor (crust) and a hand/stand mixer (filling/topping) for this pie, I am pleased to report you don’t need either to properly execute this perfect food.

Chicken pot pie is, as advertised, a (savory) pie made of chicken. There is gravy flecked with herbs, there is tender chicken, there is buttery, flaky crust. It's the big spoon to your little spoon, truly one of the more comforting things you can make and eat. Using store-bought puff pastry makes it a pretty unfussy thing (I promise), but pie crust is also a great option for the top. Fun fact: the day we shot this video, this large chicken pot pie fully converted several chicken pot pie haters on the team (if you can believe those people even exist).
