How To make Sara Lee's Pound Cake
WALDINE VAN GEFFEN VGHC42A:
1/2 pound Real butter or margarine
2 cups Powdered sugar
2 large Eggs
3 tablespoons Sour cream
1 2/3 cups Flour
1 tablespoon Lemon extract or vanilla
Preheat oven to 325~. Spray 8-1/2" Pyrex loaf dish with Pam. Cream butter with sugar on high speed of mixer for 5 minutes. Add 1 egg and then a little flour, beating 2 minutes. Add 2nd egg and half of remaining flour and beat 2 minutes. Add sour cream, rest of flour and extract, beating 2 minutes. Spread batter evenly in dish. Bake for 65 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Remove from dish. Slice 1/2" thick. Be sure to slice before freezing loaf. Thaw to use within 6 months. Source: Gloria Pitzer

NOTE: I accidentally made this recipe with 1/2 tsp of baking powder rather than 1/2 TB baking powder. It was very tasty, but dense. The recipe in the link below is correct -- you should use 1/2 TB baking powder.

This is my Recipe for Sara Lee Pound Cake. This easy, delicious pound cake is irresistible, moist that melts in your mouth. It is so easy to make. I'm using stand mixer for this recipe because it is the quickest way. You can use a stand mixer too.

Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 cup white granulated sugar
1 pk or 250ml whipping cream
1 sachet/36g dream whip powder
3 tbsp veg.oil
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
Pinch of salt
Preparations:
1) combine eggs and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat in medium speed for 2 minutes until it comes fluffy
2) pour whipping cream while continue mixing then add dream whip powder and lower the speed, add oil the continue mixing to medium speed
3) add flour, baking powder, salt continue mixing and pour vanilla mix in gigh speed for 1 minute
4) pour cake batter on a greased baking pan and bake in preheated oven at 350°F/180°C for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown
5) cake is done if you inserted a toothpick and comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes then turn upside down on a serving plate
SERVED with your favorite coffe or tea

Sara Lee Pound Cake French Toast
You might have to take a break from Saturday night gossip to enjoy this Sara Lee® All Butter Pound Cake French toast. But trust us, it’s worth it.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounces) package Sara Lee® All Butter Pound Cake thawed
3 eggs beaten
1/3 cup heavy cream or 1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter or margarine butter, powdered sugar, berries and syrup for serving
Preparation:
Mix eggs, milk almond extract, vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Melt butter on skillet over medium/low heat.
Slice pound cake and dunk in egg mixture.
Cook pound cake on skillet for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Top with berries, syrup and powdered sugar, then serve.

SARA LEE POUND CAKE SUNDAE
Chocolate coated vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two slices of warmed Sara Lee pound cake and topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles and chocolate chips. Top it off with crushed almonds and a cherry and you’ve got a truly decadent dessert.
Shopping List:

Klondike chocolate coated vanilla ice cream squares
Chocolate syrup
Chocolate sprinkles
Chocolate chips
Whipped cream
Crushed almonds
Cherries
Directions:
Cut the pound cake into 2, 3x3 inch squares for 1 serving. This matches the size of the ice cream squares.
Heat the pound cake in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Place 1 piece of the pound in a serving plate and top with chocolate syrup.
Place the Klondike ice cream square on top of the bottom layer of pound cake
Swirl another layer of chocolate syrup on top of the Klondike sqare.
Place the second piece of pound cake on top of the ice cream.
Top with a tablespoon of whipped cream.
Swirl the chocolate syrup across the top with chocolate sprinkles and chocolate chips.
Sprinkle with crushed almonds and top with a cherry.
