How To make Sweet Potato Pound Cake
1 1/2 c CAKE FLOUR
1/2 ts BAKING SODA
1/2 ts SALT
1/2 ts GROUND CINNAMON
1/2 ts GROUND NUTMEG
1/2 c UNSALTED BUTTER
1/2 c SOUR CREAM
1 1/4 c PLUS 2TBS SUGGAR
3 EGGS, RM TEMP
1 8OZ SWEET POTATO, BAKED,
PEELED, PUREED 1 ts VANILLA EXtrACT
CINNAMON SAUCE: 2 c MILK
3 CINNAMON STICKS, CRUSHED
1/2 VANILLA BEAN, SPLIT
LENGTHWISE 4 EGG YOLKS
1/2 c SUGAR
1/4 c SOUR CREAM
PRALINE OR TOFFE ICE CREAM CAKE: Preheat over to 300F. Lightly oil 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 5/8 inch loaf pan. Sift first 5 ingredients into medium bowl. Using electric mixer, beat butter and sour cream in large bowl until well blended. Gradually add sugar and beat until well blended. Gradually add sugar and beat until mixture is light and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in 1/2 cup sweet potato puree and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients Transfer to prepared pan. Bake until tester inserted into center co9mes out clean, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Cool cake in pan on rack 30 minutes. Cut around sides of pan with knife. Turn cake out onto rack and cool. SAUCE: Combine milk and cinnamon sticks in heavy medium sauce pan Scrape in seeds from vanilla bean ; add bean. Bring to boil. Remove from heat. Cover and let steep 15 minutes. Wisk yolks and sugar in bowl to blend. Slowly beat milk mixture into egg mixture. Strain custard into same saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat until custard tickens and leaves path on back of spoon when finger is drawn across, stirring constantly, about 15 minutes; do not boil. Pour custard into bowl. Whisk in sour cream. Cover and chill until cold, stirring occasionally. Cut cake into slices and transfer to plates. Top with ice cream and sauce.

Sweet Potato Pound Cake Recipe | How To Cook

Sweet Potato Pound Cake
1 cup of butter, softened
2 cups of sugar
2 and a 1/2 cups sweet potatoes cooked and mashed
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp Karo syrup
Pre heat oven to 350゚. Cream butter and sugar. Add potatoes and beat until light and fluffy. Add egg separately and beat well after each addition. Combined all of the dry ingredients and add it to your sweet potato mixture slowly. Add vanilla flavoring and Karo syrup, beat will. Pour your sweet potato mixture into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Note: You can spread simple syrup over the pound cake to keep it moist. Here's a very simple recipes for the simple syrup.
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Use in a saucepan, add the sugar and water and bring to a boil Until the sugar dissolves. Spread over the pound cake to keep moist. Or you can use your favorite icing recipe instead of simple syrup.

Baked at 350 degrees for 1 hour 5 minutes. (Time may vary depending on YOUR cake pan and/or oven.)
3 Cups Cake Flour
1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter

1 1/2 Cups White Sugar
1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
4 Eggs Room Temperature
2.5 Cups Roasted Baked Sweet Potatoes (let them cool)
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1.5 Teaspoons Cinnamon
2 Teaspoons Nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon Ginger
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
PRALINE SAUCE
1/2 Cup Salted Butter
1 1/4 Cup light brown sugar
1 Cup Chopped Pecans
1/2 Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
1/4 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
1/4 C Caramel Chips

2 sticks unsalted butter (softened)
1 8 oz pack of cream cheese (room temp)
2 cups of granulated sugar
1 cup of packed brown sugar
5 large eggs (room temp)
3 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. lemon extract
2 cups of sweet potato puree (can use mashed )
Icing:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 - 3 tablespoons milk (more or less depending on the consistency you want for the icing)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup roasted pecans pieces (plus a little to sprinkle on top)
