1 28 oz can crushed tomato 2 cn Pinto beans 1 cn Garbonzo beans 1 cn Hominy 1 sm Can (4.5oz maybe?) tomato Paste 1 sm Can green chili peppers (she Says they often come in Short tins of a Couple ounces) 2 Chopped onions 2 Chopped zucchini 1 1/2 tb Chili powder 1 To 2 tsp cumin 2 Cloves af garlic (or 2/4tsp Garlic powder) 1 ts Molasses Mix it all together in a large pot and cook until done (basically anywhere between "it's all heated through" and "the zucchini are about to fall apart." Enjoy! Amy didn't mention pre-cooking the onions so I don't know if she does, but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Green Chile Recipe - How To Make Green Chilli Stew
Green Chile Doesn't have to be made with just pork or chicken. This Leftover Brisket Green Chile is loved by everyone I make it for. When making this Green Chile, you can make it as thick as a gravy, or as thin as a soup by adding more or less flour. I tend to like my Green Chile the consistency of a thin gravy because I often eat it with tortilla chips. Below is the Green Chile Recipe I use as a guide. I change it up from time to time.
Ingredients for Leftover Brisket Green Chile Recipe: * Brisket, pork or chicken (As much as you have or want to add) * 16 Ounces or more Roasted Hatch Green Chiles * 1 1/2 Chopped Onions * 2 Chopped Carrots (Optional) * 1/4 Cup Chopped Cilantro * 4 Cloves of Garlic Chopped * 2 Diced Roma Tomatoes * 1/4 Cup Flour * 1 Tbsp. Mexican Oregano * 1 Tsp Ground Coriander * 1/4 Cup Canola or other oil * 5 Cups Chicken Stock
