Today I'm sharing with you a 3 ingredient recipe for homemade Butterfingers! Combine melted candy corn with creamy peanut butter for the perfect copycat flavor and texture. Dip into melted chocolate and enjoy your favorite Halloween candy anytime!

Homemade Butterfingers (makes 9) 1/2 c. candy corn 1/3 c. peanut butter 6 oz. milk chocolate chips 1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening (optional)
In a microwave safe bowl, heat the candy corn until melted, stirring halfway through (about 1 minute total). Add the peanut butter to the melted candy corn. Stir with a rubber spatula until combined. Work quickly! If the candy corn starts to harden, microwave again for a few seconds. Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, use a small scoop to portion out the candies onto a parchment lined baking tray. Freeze for about 15 minutes or until solid. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the shortening, stirring every 30 seconds (about 1 minute 30 seconds, total). Use a fork to dip the candies into the melted chocolate, tossing to coat. Tap the edge of the fork on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Place back on the parchment paper and continue to coat all of the candies. Refrigerate or freeze again until the chocolate has solidified. ENJOY!

Butterfinger Bars
BUTTERFINGER BARS 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 3 1/2 cups quick oats Mix together and press into a 9X13 pan. Bake 350° for 10-12 minutes. Topping: 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup chocolate chips Melt and pour over bottom layer while still warm. COOL in fridge before cutting. Freezes well.
You can double the recipe for a 12x17x1 cookie sheet.
