Potato puffs
Recipe in English:
Ingredients:
-Makhan (Butter) 80 gms (1/3 Cup)
-Pani (Water) 1 Cup
-Maida (All-purpose flour) 1 Cup
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 tsp
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
-Hari mirch (Green chilies) chopped 1 tbs
-Hara dhania (Coriander) chopped 1 tbs
-Anday (Eggs) 3
-Aloo (Potatoes) Boiled & mashed ½ Cup
-Cheddar cheese grated ¾ Cup
-Parmesan cheese ¼ Cup (optional)
-Oil for frying
Directions:
-In wok,add butter and water,bring it to boil and mix well.
-Add all-purpose flour and mix well for 3-4 minutes until dough is formed.
-In bowl,add dough,black pepper powder,salt,green chilies,coriander and egg,mix well.
-Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
-Add mashed potatoes,cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese,mix well.
-Grease your hands with oil,take a mixture and make a small ball.
-In wok,heat oil and fry on low flame until golden.
-Add this mixture in piping bag and fry on low flame until golden.

-Haathon ko oil sa grease ker ka mixture ki small ball bana lein.
-Karhai mein oil garam ker ka golden hunay tak halki ancch per fry ker lein.
-Is mixture ko piping bag mein dal dein aur golden hunay tak halki ancch per fry ker lein.

Mashed potato puffs are a super delicious combination of potatoes, eggs, cheese, bacon, chives, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. When combined and baked, the taste is out of this world. It is an excellent alternative to everyday mashed potatoes. The make a great finger food or side dish.

Loaded Cheese Stuffed Mashed Potato Balls
Just when you thought you couldn’t eat mashed potatoes on the go!
4 Cups Leftover/Cold Mashed Potatoes - prepared to your liking
1/2 Cup Sliced Green Onions
3/4 Cup Chopped Cooked Bacon
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
2 Eggs
Block of Cheddar Cheese - Cut into small cubes
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Bread Crumbs
Oil for frying
Salt
Place cold mashed potatoes into a large mixing bowl. Add Green Onion, Chopped Bacon, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, and 1 egg - mix well.
With lightly floured hands - pick up a tablespoon sized ball of potato mixture and flatten into a small pancake. Place cube of Cheddar in the center and wrap the potato mixture around the cheese. Repeat.
In three separate bowls, add Flour, Bread Crumbs, and remaining egg (whisked). Coat the potato ball in flour, then egg, then bread crumbs. Coat once more with egg and once more with bread crumbs. Set aside - store in fridge while you wait to fry.
In a medium pan heat oil over medium/high heat (to approximately 350˚F). Fry the potatoes in batches until browned on all sides. Transfer fried potato balls to paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt. Once all potatoes are fried - transfer to a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven for 5 minutes at 400˚F (200˚C). Enjoy!

Potato, Cheese and Onion Pasties
Is there a more delicious combo than cheese, onion and potato? Absolutely not when it’s pouring out of puff pastry that’s for sure! Enjoy! Chris x
FULL RECIPE POST:
POTATO, CHEESE AND ONION PASTIES | Serves 4
????INGREDIENTS????
1x 320g/11.3oz sheet of Puff Pastry (rolled into a 14 x 9 rectangle)
1 large White Potato, finely diced (approx 300g/10.5oz)
1 large Onion, grated (approx 150g/5oz)
150g/5oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
1 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Mustard (English or Dijon)
1 tsp Fresh Parsley, finely diced
1/4 cup / 60ml Cream or Milk
1 Egg, beaten for wash
Oil Spray
????METHOD????
Fry your potatoes in a little oil until nice and crispy. Melt in your butter then add your onion. Fry off for a minute or so just until soft. Pop everything in a bowl and allow to cool.
To the bowl add your cheese, mustard, parsley and cream/milk. Give it a good stir and leave to one side.
Slice your pastry into 4 equal rectangles. Split your filling into 4 and place to one side of each rectangle. Brush around the edges with your egg wash then fold over and push down with your fingers to secure.
Using a fork, press down around the outside of each pasty. Place on a lightly sprayed oven tray and slice some steam holes in each pasty (see video for inspiration).
Give the pasties a final brush of egg wash and place in the oven at 200c/390f for 15-20mins or until golden brown.
