Prep time: 30 min
Cook time: 1 hrs
Ingredients:
1 prepared pie crust (my go to is:
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornmeal
1/2 cup maple syrup (at room temperature)
4 eggs (at room temperature)
1/2 cup buttermilk (at room temperature)
1/2 cup melted butter (at room temperature)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup mascarpone cheese
1/4 cup superfine sugar
Good maple syrup, for serving

How To Make Old Fashioned Buttermilk Chess Pie
A cross between a Southern buttermilk pie, and a Southern chess pie.. It's all south and full of flavour!

Ingredients
1½ cups sugar
1 tablespoon cornmeal
2 tablespoons AP flour
Pinch of salt
½ cup of butter, melted
½ cup of buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 large eggs
Zest from one lemon
Juice of ½ of a lemon
1 9 unbaked pie shell (regular depth)
Method
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Whisk together the sugar, cornmeal, flour and salt.
To that add the butter, buttermilk, and vanilla & mix.
Beat the eggs, and add to sugar mix.
Stir in lemon zest and juice.
Pour mixture into the pie shell.
Bake at 350ºF for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and set.

how to make the best chess pie ever, one slice will not do ya, this pie is a old southern favorite, once to try you will be on it!

Ingredients:
1 deep dish pie crust
1 stick of unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 1/2 cups of sugar
4 eggs
2 tablespoon all purpose flour
1 tablespoon of yellow cornmeal
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of whole or evaporated milk
bake @350 for 45-55 minutes
mix butter and sugar together, add eggs, mix, add corn meal, flour and salt mix, add vinegar or lemon juice, milk and vanilla, mix well, pour into pie shell and bake. Do not cut until completely cool, make take several hours, you want your custard to set up.
