How To make Chocolate Orange Guinness Cake
CAKE:
8 oz Butter, room temperature
8 oz Soft dark brown sugar
10 oz Self-raising flour
1 ts Baking powder
1 pn Salt
2 tb Cocoa (rounded T's)
Grated rind of 1 orange 4 Eggs
1/2 c Guinness
ICING:
4 oz Butter
8 oz Confectioners' sugar
Orange(juice, grated rind) Preheat oven to 375F. Grease 2 8-9-inch cake pans. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa into a bowl. Add the orange rind to the creamed butter and beat in the eggs, one at a time, including a spoonful of the measured flour mixture with each one, and beating well between additions. Gently mix in the Guinness, a tablespoonful at a time, including another spoonful of flour with each addition. If there's any flour left over, fold it in gently to mix; blend thoroughly without over-beating. Divide the mixture between the tins, smooth down, and put the cakes into the center of the preheated oven. Reduce the heat to moderate (350F) and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cakes are springy to the touch and shrinking slightly in the pans. Turn out and cool on a wire rack. . Meanwhile, make the icing. Cream the softened butter and icing sugar together thoroughly, then blend in the grated orange rind and enough juice to make an icing that is soft enough to spread. When the cakes are cold, use half the icing to sandwich them together, and spread the rest on top.

Full recipe here: I never thought I would be in raptures about the joyfulness of a vegan chocolate cake. It’s true that I first made a version of it – the recipe kindly given to me by Caroline Stearns, my technical guru in the kitchen – when I was giving a supper for a vegan friend, but I now make this as my chocolate cake of choice, and I don’t even need to explain it’s vegan. On top of everything else, it’s incredibly simple to make.

GUINNESS Chocolatey and Super Moist Chocolate Cake!!!!!!! _Most Amazing cake [ ???? ????]
Hi Everyone, welcome back to my channel. in today's video I will be showing you how you can take your Chocolate cake to the next level with two amazing ingredients. The first one is Guinness stout or Malta Guinness. This makes the cake more chocolatey. I learned about using Guinness when I was about 8 years old..hahaha. The second ingredient is Mayonnaise. The added oil in Mayonnaise gives the extra moist taste to the cake. Try this recipe and let me know what you think in the comment section.
INGREDIENTS
-1 1/2 cups of Guinness stout or Malta Guinness
-1 1/2 teaspoons of espresso instant coffee
-3 teaspoons vanilla extract
-2 cups of flour
-1 cup of cocoa powder
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-2 teaspoons baking powder
-1 teaspoon salt
-1 cup of butter
-4 large eggs
-2 cups of sugar if using Guinness Stout and 1 cup if using Malta Guinness (Malta is already sweet)
-1 cup of mayonnaise
-1 cup of chocolate bits
DIRECTIONS
- In the mixing bowl, put together the butter and sugar and mix on high speed for 1min.
-Remember to scrap the sides to incorporate everything
-Add the vanilla extract and mix for another 1 minute
-Add some eggs and mix for 30seconds
-Put the rest of the eggs and mix for an additional 30mins
-Now put the mayonnaise and mix for 1 minute
-At this time the barter is very airy and fluffy
-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
-Put together all the dry ingredients and mix using a whisk. set aside
-Add the coffee to the Malta Guinness or Guinness stout and stir, set aside also
-Now put in the dry and wet ingredients alternatively in two batches, mix for 30seconds after each batch
-Put in the chocolate bits and mix for 30 seconds, while stopping and scrapping the sides
-Pour the barter in two 8 inches baking pans to be 2/3 full.
- Put in the oven for about 45 minutes or when a toothpick inserted in the barter comes out clean
-Once ready take it out of the oven and put on a rack to cool down.
Can be served with hot chocolate, Malta Guinness or Guinness. Enjoy ???? ????

FridgeCam this week is all about sharing... Aaaw! Specifically we're sharing cake, which is always a good thing!
You might have heard of Herman before - he's a cake mix that you look after for 9 days before splitting into 4 pieces - you give a piece to 3 friends and then use the 4th piece to bake a cake!
Your friends then go through the same process and give 3 pieces away to their friends and so on and so on and so on... Until we take over the world with cake!!
It's a great experiment and we can't wait to see how far Herman can go! You can get all the instructions and recipes for the cakes and the starter mix here:
