For some may find the dough sticky so add up if it needs it. Every flour absorbs liquid differently due to level of protein content so adjust accordingly.

We're taking the classic cinnamon roll and adding a twist in this easy recipe!
I'm Zoe Francois and I just love making these rolls - all the fun happens in the twisting and turning of the dough. For the free recipe click on the i in the top right corner of your screen.
First, here's what you need to make the dough...
and this is what you'll need to make the cinnamon suger
In a stand mixer add the warmed milk to the yeast, eggs, sugar and salt to make a super simple dough
Using a paddle attachnment - stir
Dump in the flour,
and mix until it's all combined.
Now drop room-temperature butter into the dough, one tablespoon at a time.
Turn up the speed and let it knead for about 3 minutes. If your butter is cool, this may take longer.
Cover the bowl loosely with plastic and let the dough rise for about 1 hour.
While that's happening, we'll mix together the cinnamon and sugars. I like to include some brown sugar, because I love the flavor it adds.
Now that your dough is rested, it has just about doubled in size and you're ready to get rollin'.
On a floured surface - divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
Shape each piece into a ball.
Then shape each ball into a rectangle that's about 1/16-inch-thick.
Spoon the cinnamon sugar over the top, and press it into the dough,
so it won't spill out when you roll the dough into a log.
Cut the log in half like this and then twist it into a rope. Tuck the ends under so they won't pop out while they're baking.
Transfer the rolls to a parchment covered baking sheet.
Cover them and let them rest for an hour.
Bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until they are golden brown and set in the middle.
These cinnamon rolls smell incredible! Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Believe me - they won't be around for long!

Thank you for joining us on this crazy journey! Our family- Kate and Marius plus our five kids, have always enjoyed living a homemade life whenever possible. Moving 1000 miles north in 2017 to Northern BC, Canada upped our game even more. We live on a 34 acre homestead and get a kick out of things like raising our own meat, dairy and vegetables. Theres plenty of failures, you’ll be sure to see those here too. We’re a homeschooling family who believes life is the best teacher but we do hit the books in winter. I’m so glad you’re here, I hope you stick around!
We put out a new video every Wednesday morning! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.
