How To make Crusty Crescent Taco Squares
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/3 oz. envelope taco seasoning mix
16 ounces refried beans
8 ounce can tomato sauce
2 (8 oz.)cans Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
1 tablespoon oil
1/3 cup cornmeal
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
(4 ounces)
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese :
(4 ounces)
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup chopped tomatoes
taco sauce
Heat oven to 375 F. Brown meat and onions; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix, beans and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Unroll dough into 4 long rectangles. Place in ungreased 15x10 inch jelly roll pan; press over bottom and 1 inch up sides to form crust. Brush dough with oil; sprinkle with cornmeal. Spoon hot meat mixture over crust. Bake at 375 F. for 25-30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven until cheese is melted, about 1-2 minutes. Cut into squares. Top with lettuce, tomatoes and taco sauce, as desired. Makes 8 servings. Mexican Pizza Recipe using Crescent Rolls | Crescent Roll Pizza | Mexican Pizza
We need:
1 can crescent rolls
1 lb lean ground beef
1 can refried beans
1 8oz bag Mexican-Style Cheese
1 packet taco seasoning mix original
1/2 cup diced onions
salt and pepper to taste
For toppings:
diced tomatoes
shredded lettuce
sour cream
salsa
or any toppings you like
Directions:
1. Unroll crescent rolls on a baking sheet, seal the perforations and bake at 350 F preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Let it cool.
2. Brown ground beef on medium heat add a dash of salt and pepper.
3. When meat is already browned, add a packet of taco seasoning mix and 2/3 cup hot water, mix well. Simmer until it thickens and most of the liquid is gone.
4. Add diced onions and a can of refried beans. Stir to combine.
5. Spead meat evenly on top of the cooled crescent crust, top with Mexican-Style cheese.
6. Put it back in the oven for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese.
7. Cut it into squares and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, salsa and sour cream or any toppings you like.
8. Enjoy!
