How To make Date Bars
Ingredients

flour

teaspoon
baking powder

salt
1
cup
sugar

tablespoon
butter
1
teaspoon
vanilla
1
teaspoon
lemon
3
tablespoon
water, hot
1
cup
dates
1
cup
pecans
2
each
eggs, well beaten
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add extracts, hot water, dates and nuts. Add well beaten eggs, dry ingredients, sifted together. Spread in pan 8x10x12. Bake 30 minutes at 325 F.

Date Squares are a perfect quick and easy type of dessert if you love Dates or want to use up the leftover dates from Ramadan. They can be made per your liking, with and without oats. Bake them longer for a crunchy bar and less for a softer bar. You may also use any nuts if you like.
This recipe is by Chef Ricardo Larrivée & was thoughtfully shared by my amazing neighbor. Though the recipe is perfect on its own I did a few changes. Mostly reduced the sugar and amped the oats but either way they turn out perfect.

It you love date snickers, you’re going to love this date bark recipe! It’s sweet and salty and all kinds of yummy! I saw this on @kalejunkie’s page and I had to try it. Recipe created by @thathealthjunkie ????
INGREDIENTS
24 medjool dates, pitted
½ peanut butter, warmed
½ cup almonds, chopped
4 ounces dark chocolate, melted
Flaky sea salt
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Line a quarter sheet pan with parchment paper.
2. Place the medjool dates, open side up on a parchment paper in rows of 4 and columns of 6. Use your hands or a cup (with cooking spray) to press them down onto the baking sheet as close together as possible.
3. Drizzle with peanut and sprinkle almonds on top. Drizzle the melted chocolate on top and use a spatula to spread out evenly. Sprinkle with salt and freeze for 30 minutes.
4. When the chocolate is set, break into about 24 pieces. Keep in the fridge for best results
