CHICKEN BBQ FILIPINO STYLE | CHICKEN BBQ sa KAWALI | PINOY SIMPLE COOKING
CHICKEN BBQ is one of a popular Filipino dish infused with its key ingredient banana ketchup which makes the chicken more flavorful. Sharing this fast and easy version of this fabulous Filipino style Chicken BBQ cooked in the pan. So quick and easy to make. Easy recipe to satisfy your cravings! Happy Pinoy Simple Cooking!
Here is how to make CHICKEN BBQ:
CHICKEN BBQ RECIPE:
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken thighs
1 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp oil
For the marinate:
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp oyster sauce
5 tbsp banana ketchup
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
Directions:
1. In a large bowl combine chicken and marinate ingredients. Stir until well combined. Let it marinate for at least 30 mins. Set aside.
2. Remove chicken from the marinade then reserve the marinade.
3. In a pan or wok, heat 4 tbsp oil over medium high heat.
4. Cook chicken by batch. Cover with lid and fry chicken until cooked through on both sides. To know if chicken is cooked through, poke chicken with fork and juice that runs through is clear. Or use meat thermometer and poke in the thick center part of the chicken it should be 165°F.
5. Remove from the pan then set aside. Drain the oil from the pan.
6. In the same pan, stir in the marinade. Add water in the marinade if needed.
7. Add chicken broth and brown sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
8. Bring to boil for 5 mins.
9. Lower the heat to medium and continue to simmer until sauce thickens.
15. Serve and Enjoy! Best served with steamed rice.

Welcome to our 2023 Marching in With Casseroles Collaboration. I'm starting off the month with my BBQ Ranch Chicken Casserole. It is so cheesy and creamy. Y'all are going to love this one. Let me know what you think about this version and y'all enjoy.

Ingredients:
12 ounce Bowtie or Rotini Pasta
3 cups cooked chicken-shredded
1/2 cup cooked, chopped bacon
2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
10 ounce can Rotel®
7 ounce can diced roasted green chiles
15 ounce can corn
1 cup ranch dressing
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1 small onion diced.
Preheat oven to 350°F
In a large bowl combine the pasta, chicken, bacon, onion and 2/3 of the cheese. Mix well
No add the Rotel® and green chiles, but do not drain them, add juices as well.
Drain the corn and add to the mixture.
Now add the BBQ sauce and ranch dressing. Mix well to combine.
You can add more BBQ sauce and dressing if it seems to dry.
Pour mixture into a 9x13 prepared baking dish and place in preheated oven.
Bake about 12-15 minutes. Remove from oven and distribute the remaining cheese.
Put back in oven and cook and additional 5-7 minutes to cheese is brown and bubbly.
Remove from oven and let cool about 5 minutes then serve.

Today I present my easy to make, meal prep convenient, BBQ chicken casserole. Using my homemade BBQ sauce, this recipe brings all the flavor of BBQ chicken without having to fire up the grill. This super simple, easy to make BBQ chicken casserole has all the flavor of a backyard BBQ without all the fuss.

Ingredients:
16 to 20 ounces cooked chicken, shredded
2 cups finely grated cheddar cheese, divided
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
5 ounces fresh baby spinach
4 Tbs unsalted butter
1 Tbs minced garlic
3/4 cup zero sugar ketchup
1 Tbs apple cider vinegar
1/2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 cup chopped red onion
sugar substitute = 3 Tbs sugar
1/2 Tbs red pepper flakes
Makes 6 Servings
