How to cook breakfast egg burrito recipe [ASMR]
Who wants all day breakfast burritos?! This recipe is perfect not just for breakfast but for any time of the day. The ingredients blend so well together they make a well balanced taste. The scrambled eggs are really the ones that make it soft and creamy. For the bacon, who doesn't love bacon? It gives the dish the extra smoky, meaty vibe we all love. The avocado salsa is there to give it a tropical vibe and a round of freshness. The hash brown is optional if you want potato flavor and crispy texture. The sauce is my source of extra tang and heat. And lastly the cheese, i used cheddar. You can make this burrito hours ahead of time and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate before toasting.
BREAKFAST BURRITOS
Makes 2
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 4 Large Eggs
- 2 pinches of Salt
- 4 Slices of Bacon
- 4 Hash Browns (optional)
- Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 2 (10 inch) Flour Tortillas
Avocado Salsa:
- ½ (120g) Avocado, diced
- 1 (60g) Red Tomato, diced
- 1 tablespoon Red Onion, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 pinches of Salt
- Pepper
Sauce:
- 3 tablespoon Sour Cream
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha

BURRITO
▪1lb/.5kg Frozen tater tots
▪1lb/.5kg thick cut bacon, cut into bite size pieces
▪230g/1c water
▪1 15oz/440g can pinto beans, drained
▪1 16oz/450g can refried pinto beans
▪Salt
▪Black pepper
▪2-3g or 1t cumin
▪1 lime
▪10 large eggs
▪125g or 1/2c heavy cream
▪Spicy chipotle ranch (recipe below)
▪Large 10”/25cm tortillas
▪Oaxaca cheese, grated (sub with chihuahua or pepper jack)
▪Smashed avocado (roughly combine 2 avos with pinch of salt and squeeze of lime)
▪Cilantro, chopped
▪Cotija cheese
TOMATILLO SALSA
▪100g or 4 small-med jalapeno, chopped
▪10g or 3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
▪100g or 1 small white onion, chopped
▪400g or 4-6 whole ripe tomatillos, chopped

Breakfast burrito
Egg burritos or Breakfast burritos are usually seen as a nice on the go snack, that you can freeze overnight and microwave or heat up in the pan on the next morning.
Burrito fillings are always varied depending on personal preferences. The creation of this great dish was around the 1970’s in New Mexico. As history suggests, flour tortillas were used because Sonora, Mexico produced a lot of wheat. Which was adopted and filled with rice and beans to make a filling meal. This took off in 1950’s US which were then frozen to be heated when needed, though the name ‘breakfast burrito” was placed on a menu in 1975.
The common breakfast burrito which we usually see now are composed of scrambled eggs, salsa, sauce, an addition of veggies like bell peppers, spinach, corn or meats like sausages, bacon or ham, cheese and hot sauce or Siracha all wrapped in a tortilla and heated in a press or pan to give it a wonderfully charred look, and served with a refreshing glass of juice or packed to be eaten when you arrive iat school or work.

Egg Burrito Recipe:
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
Simple Salsa
½ cup tomatoes (chopped)
½ cup onions (chopped)
1 tablespoon garlic (chopped)
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
Sweet Mayo Sauce
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon white sugar
Scrambled eggs
3 large eggs
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk
4 pcs. Tortilla
1 cup bacon or ham
Cheese (optional)
Siracha (optional)
Directions:
For the Simple Salsa; mix tomatoes, onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Set aside
For the sweet mayo Sauce; mix mayonnaise, milk and white sugar. Set aside.
For the scrambled eggs; mix together eggs, salt and milk. Set aside.
In a pan at medium heat, cook ham or bacon till it changes in color, take these out. Using the remaining oil, cook the scrambled eggs mixture. Continuously mixing till it cooks but still looks a bit wet. Set aside.
In a new pan, heat a tortilla for 30 seconds on each side. Take this out of the pan and add in Siracha, salsa, bacon or ham, scrambled eggs, sweet mayo sauce, and cheese. Roll from one end till the middle, fold in the sides, and roll till the end.
Place this back in the pan end side down to brown, once the bottom browns, flip this to brown the top. Once both sides are done take this out of the pan.
Cut into half before serving.
