How To make Flaky Beef Turnovers
6 oz Beef top round boneless OR
6 oz Rib-eye steak, boneless
2 sm Potatoes, peeled, diced
3 tb Dry onion-soup mix
2 tb Ketchup
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 tb Chopped fresh parsley
6 Frozen puff-pastry shells
-(one 10-oz package) "It's important to cut Potatoes into very small pieces, so they get done by the time the pastry is brown." Preheat oven to 400 F (205 C). Trimbeef; discard fat. Cut beef into cubes no larger than 1/2 inch. In a medium bowl, combine beef, Potatoes, soup mix, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and parsley. On a lightly floured board, roll out each pastry shell to a 7-inch circle. Spoon equal amounts or about 1/4 cup meat mixture on each
rolled-out shell. Brush edges with water. Fold over; press with tines of a fork to seal. Cut several slits in top of each. Place on a baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot. Makes 6 turnovers.

About a half cup of whole milk
A teaspoon of salt
A teaspoon of powdered nutmeg
A tablespoon of baking powder
A teaspoon of turmeric powder

I have finally made the perfect flaky and buttery meat pie recipe, my meat pies always turned out tasty but I was missing the extra flakiness I wanted to achieve and the extra buttery taste I also wanted, sat down, made research tried and tried and finally made it perfectly! so I am sharing it with you so you can also achieve it! thanks for subscribing and watching! see you soon xx
Ingredients:
Meatpie filling:
400 gr beef mince
70 grams or more diced fresh carrots
1 medium size potato
2 diced small onions.
1/4 cup vegetable oil
salt tt
2 tbsp all purpose seasoning
2 maggi cubes
1/2 cup water (125ml)
2 tbsp flour
meatpie dough :
1kg plain flour (8 cups)
600gr cold margarine (4 cups)
1 tsp salt to taste
nutmeg powder about 1 tsp
1 small onion
2 garlic cloves
1 cup water (250ml)
oven pre-heated at 190c bake for 25-35 mins depending on oven type.
