Truffle Macaroni and Cheese Bacon Hot Dog inspired by Disney Hollywood Studios Theme Park
Hi. This is Stephanie Manley with Copykat.com. Many of you have requested
the Cracker Barrel Sunday fried chicken, and here is my recipe for the
Cracker Barrel Sunday fried chicken. It's really, really easy. Very simple
to do. So now, you can have this one any night of the week. We just need
some flour, some buttermilk, a couple of chicken breasts, and salt and
pepper. So, please click on the link below in the description box for the
exact measurements. This recipe's also in my second book, but I'm just
making a half a batch right now. So, we are adding salt and pepper to our
flour, and we're going to stir this through. Be careful when working with
raw chicken. Make sure you wash your hands after every time you actually
touch the raw chicken, because no one wants any form of cross
contamination. Alright.
So, the first thing we're going to do is take our chicken breast, and
we're going to dredge it in the flour. Just cut it with flour, shake off
the excess, dip it in the buttermilk. Then, we go back to the flour, dredge
it in the flour again, and then we're going to set it aside. Now, it's
important that you let this rest for a good 7-8 minutes before you actually
begin cooking it. This gives the flour a chance to expand. That way, that
crust stays on. It doesn't take any chances on falling off. So again,
dredge in the flour, buttermilk and the flour again, wait a few minutes,
and then the next thing we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and
deep fry this. So, I have a pot behind me at about 350 degrees. I'm using
peanut oil. We will cook those up in just a few seconds.
So, now we're ready to go ahead and fry up our chicken. Now, just one
note. You cannot reuse the flour or the buttermilk. Just go ahead and drop
this in. Let it cook 5-7 minutes, and it will be nice and golden brown.
After about 6 or 7 minutes, these are perfectly brown. If your oil doesn't
come up all the way up over the top, you maybe need to flip these over
about half way through cooking to make sure they're perfectly brown on both
sides. So, please give this video a big thumbs up, here on YouTube. Look in
the comments section down below, and write in your recipe requests, so I
can know what you'd like to see next.

HOT DOG MAC AND CHEESE PIZZA
Ingredients
TOPPINGS
4 Hot dogs
2 cups Macaroni and cheese (instructions below*)
2 cups Mozzarella cheese
1 cup Cheddar cheese sauce (instructions below*)
WILD DOUGH
2 cups Sourdough starter (active)
1 cup Bread flour
1 tsp Salt
Cheddar Cheese Sauce*
4 cups Cheddar cheese
2 cups Cream
¼ cup Butter
1 tbsp Flour
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Pepper
Macaroni and Cheese* (MAKES EXTRA)
4 cups Cheddar cheese sauce
2 cups Macaroni noodles
Instructions
Wild Dough (1 hour)
1). Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
2). Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)
Cheddar Cheese Sauce*
1). Grate cheddar cheese.
2). Heat large pot to medium and melt butter, whisking constantly. Add flour and whisk 30 seconds. Add cream and whisk to mix well, then add cheddar cheese, salt and pepper.
3). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and whisk until desired thickness. Reserve 1 cup of cheese sauce for the pizza sauce. Use remaining cheese sauce for macaroni and cheese.
Macaroni and Cheese*
1). Bring water to a boil in a large pot, then add noodles. Bring to a boil and cook for 8-10 minutes. Drain. Add remaining cheese sauce and mix well. Reserve 2 cups of mac n chee.
PIZZA (8-10 minutes)
1). Grate mozzarella. Cut hot dogs into thin rounds.
2). Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
3). Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough. Add sauce, cheese, mac n chee and hot dogs. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
4). Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes then slice it up!
