2 lbs. ground beef (I used 85% lean)
1 medium onion, diced
1 bell pepper, seeded and diced
1 poblano pepper, seeded and diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1, 28-ounce can diced tomatoes

Add all the ingredients, EXCEPT the water to a gallon size freezer bag. Freeze up to 3 months. Defrost the day before you want to cook. Cook 5-6 hours on low or 2 ½ to 3 hours on high. Top with your favorites: shredded cheese, sour cream, cilantro or avocado.

Freeze Dried Sloppy Joes & Coleslaw -- ????????
Unless you have been hiding under a rock you have noticed a HUGE increase in meat prices (amongst everything else). With food inflation out of control with no end in site, I have a solution that won't break the bank, still tastes good and will give you most, if not all of the benefits of Sloppy Joes using beef. We are doing Freeze Dried Lentil sloppy joes with Coleslaw topping. It rehydrates amazing and can be made in large batches in an instant pot.

Make Your Own Manwich Clone | Quick, Easy and Freezer Friendly Sloppy Joes
A Manwich has always been a favorite in my family. I used to love just popping open the can, pouring it over the meat and having a meal ready in minutes. Then I moved to a place where I couldn't find that big 'ol can. Then I found out it was almost just as easy to make it from scratch and tasted even better!
Children and adults alike always seem to love this meal, often going back for seconds and never leaving the table unsatisfied. To me, that's a winner!
Why not give it a try and see if it doesn't tick all the hearty meal boxes for you?
The recipe below is for one meal. In the video, I doubled the ingredients so I could freeze half in a ziploc bag and be ready for another meal at a later date. Reheated from frozen, this sandwich mix is just as delicious as when you first made it and great for those days that just get too busy to plan ahead.
Manwich Sloppy Joe Clone
1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
3/4 cup ketchup
3 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp yellow mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1. In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the onion and green pepper. Drain off any liquids or grease.
2. Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper; mix together thoroughly.
3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
4. Serve while hot on toasted hamburger buns.
