How To make Ground Turkey Stroganoff
1 1/2 pounds ground turkey 3 slices turkey bacon - diced 1 small onion - chopped (I found the smallest I could and it was still too much onion so I only used half) 2 Tbs. flour 1 10 & 3/4 oz can low fat/fat free cream of mushroom or cream of potato soup 1/4 teaspoon paprika 2 Tbs. dry red wine (I didn't have any so I used water and it was fine) 1 cup low-fat or fat-free sour cream In a skillet brown ground turkey and bacon until pink disappears. Drain. In crock-pot mix together cooked ground turkey, bacon, onion, flour and paprika. Stir in undiluted soup and wine.
(At this point I added a little more water since it wasn't very saucy. YMMV)
Cover and cook on LOW 4 - 5 hours. Stir in sour cream. Spoon mixture over toast and serve with steamed veggies.

Turkey Stroganoff Recipe
Makes 4 Servings
Macros per serving - 364 Calories - Fat 7g - Carbs 32g - Protein 43g
500g Turkey Breast, Sliced
250g Baby Button Mushrooms, Sliced
2 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
1/2 Onion, Diced
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Flour
1/2 Cup Greek Yogurt
2 Cups Beef Broth
Salt & Pepper
175g Dry Egg Noodle
1. Bring a Large pot of water to boil and cook egg noodles according to package instructions. I recommend not starting the noodles until you beginning step 4 but getting the water boiling before hand.
2. Heat a large sauce pan over medium-high heat. Spray with no stick cooking spray and add the turkey strips. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes until no longer pink, stirring frequently to ensure they do not stick to the bottom of the pan. Be careful not to over cook. Once cooked through (no longer pink), remove from pan onto a clean plate and set aside.
3. In the same pan, add in 2 Tbsp of butter. Once melted, add onions and sauté for 3 minutes or so. Add mushrooms and sauté for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are cooked and the onions are soft and translucent. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, until fragrant stirring frequently. Add in 1/2 cup beef broth to deglaze the pan, scrapping up any brown bits on the bottom of the pan. Let this cook down for 2-3 minutes until most of the liquid has cooked off.
4. (Add egg noodles to water) Whisk together remaining beef broth, Worcestershire and flour in a bowl until smooth. Pour mixture into the pan , stirring to combine with the vegetables and simmer on low for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in greek yogurt, stirring to combine and adding the turkey and all its juices. Taste for seasoning.
5. Divide into 4 portions over egg noodles.
6. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by. In this video, I do my best to show how to make a Turkey Stroganoff. You can also change the turkey out for ground beef if you'd like.

Recipe:
1 TBS Butter
1 TBS Olive Oil
8 oz Mushrooms
2 TBS minced garlic
1 medium onion diced
1 LB ground turkey(or beef if you like)
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 TSP cayenne pepper
2 TBS of flour
1 1/2 cups of chicken stock
2 TBS rice wine vinager
1 cup sour cream
1 TBS Dried Parsley
2 TBS Rosemary
4 Sprigs of thyme
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
16 oz wide egg noodles
*Cook mushrooms, onion, and minced garlic in butter over medium heat until the onions are translucent. Then set it aside.
*Add oil and ground turkey to the pan. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Cook until golden brown and then strain.
*Add your veggies back in the pan along with the flour. Stir until well coated.
*Add your chicken stock, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it start to thicken. Remove from heat
*Add your noodles to a pot of boiling water with a dash of salt according to the direction on your package.
*Add the drained cooked noodles to your mixture and ad sour cream, parsley, rosemary and thyme. Mix it up well and server with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
*Don't forget some garlic bread to complete your dish.
