How To make Italian Spaghetti Casserole
SAUCE:
1 lb Tomatoes, canned -- chopped,
-undrained 1 c Onions chopped
1 c Green pepper :
chopped
6 oz Tomato paste, canned
1 t Oregano
1 t Basil
1/4 ts Garlic powder
FILLING:
1 c Tofu ricotta
3/4 c Nutritional yeast "cheesy"
-sauce or other vegan cheese -sauce SPAGHETTI LAYER:
8 oz Spaghetti, thin -- broken into
-2 1/2" pieces 2 tb Olive oil or vegetable stock
Egg replacer for 3 eggs 3/4 c Nutritional yeast "cheesy"
-sauce or other vegan cheese -sauce
Pour 1/4 cup of the canned tomato liquid into a small saucepan. Add onions and green pepper and bring mixture to a boil. Cover and cook 15 minutes. Stir in remaining sauce ingredients, mixing well. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat. To make filling, combine tofu ricotta and 3/4 cup "cheesy" sauce in a small bowl. Mix well. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain. Run spaghetti under cold water to cool. Drain again. Place spaghetti in a large bowl and add oil or stock, egg replacer, and remaining "cheesy" sauce. Mix well. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil an 8-inch square baking pan or spray with a nonstick cooking spray. To assemble casserole: Spread spaghetti mixture evenly in prepared pan. Drop "cheese" filing by tablespoonfuls onto spaghetti. Spread filling over spaghetti, using the back of a spoon. Spoon sauce evenly over "cheese". Bake, uncovered, 35 minutes. It’s another beautiful and special day and today we are making our favorite spaghetti casserole, this was one of my favorite meals to make when I used to work at the hospital, I would have it ready for my husband so he can cook it before getting home! Everyone’s loves pasta and this one is just the best of both worlds lasagna and spaghetti so if you are like me that looooves cheese than you are going to definitely love this one and best part super easy to make when using store bought sauce, my top two favorite are Prego and Rao’s ???? ☺️???? PRO TIP!!!!
✅the spaghetti needs to be half way cooked so just cook 5 minutes less than package instructions
✅you can make that dish a head of time just assemble cover and refrigerate until ready to cook
✅if you don’t want to use sausage you don’t have to just use 2lbs of meat only or divide as desired
✅want to make your own sauce no problem, here’s how
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 lb Italian mild sausage
1 lb spaghetti
48 oz pasta sauce of choice
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
8 oz cream cheese
Italian blend cheese
Mozzarella cheese
1/2 minced onion
1/2 minced green pepper
1 tsp Italian seasonings
1 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt I used 1 3/4 tsp
black pepper I used 1 tsp

INGREDIENTS

2 Tsp Olive oil
1 lb Ground Beef
5 Mild Italian Sausage's
2/3 Cup Chopped Sweet Onion
2 Tsp Minced Garlic
2 Cups Marinara Sauce
2 Cups Diced Tomatoes
Salt and Pepper
1 Tsp Italian Seasoning
Cheese Layer
1/2 Cup Cottage Cheese
1/2 Cup Ricotta Cheese
1/2 CUP Parmesan
