Reminds me of growing up when my mom would make this for our family. Nothing quite like rib-sticking comfort food.
Slow Cooker Beef Stew
2 lbs stew meat or roast cut into pieces
potatoes cut into cubes However many you like and the same for carrots.
With beef stew, you can add whatever vegetables you like. There's no rule.
1 or 2 pkg's of beef gravy
Brown the beef over medium heat and a couple tablespoons of oil. If you like, you can us Gravy master and another browning agent but when all else fails...use whiskey or even beer or red wine. This is all optional of course.
Add meat to the slow cooker with the brown gravy and whatever seasonings you want with 3 cups of water. Add the remaining vegetables and stir well. I let ours cook on high for about nine hours until the meat and vegetables were super soft. So delicious Suttons Daze channel
