LEMON BEEF
Ingredients:
- 2 kg Chuk blade roast beef
- 2 carrots
- 2 onions
- 3 sticks of celery
- 4 cloves of garlic
- Juice and zest of 2 lemons
- 1 sprig of rosemary
- 4 sprigs of fresh oregano
- 4 sprigs of lemon thyme
- Salt
- Pepper
- 10 whole allspice
- 100 g olive oil
- Sufficient beef broth to reach halfway up the meat
- 100 g dry white wine
Method:
1. In a hot pan with plenty of oil, fry the beef until golden brown on all sides.
2. Remove the beef from the pan and add the vegetables. Sauté them gently until they soften, about 10 minutes.
3. Return the beef to the pan, season with salt and pepper, add the herbs, lemon zest, and deglaze with the wine. Allow it to evaporate for 2 minutes.
4. Add the lemon juice, beef broth, and cook the dish over low heat for approximately 2 hours, until the meat is tender. If needed, add water to achieve a nice sauce consistency.
5. Enjoy your meal!
Good luck!

HOW TO MAKE THINLY SLICED BEEF COOKED IN SOY SAUCE AND LEMON JUICE
Thinly sliced beef that I cooked in soy sauce and lemon juice. I marinated the thinly slice beef first (better if marinated overnight) then sauté it in soy sauce and lemon juice to give a tangy taste to the dish then I add fried yukon gold potatoes. So delicious!!!!! Serve it with rice ????
Black Lemon Beef Kebab | Bahraini Tikka | Arab Recipes
This amazing tikka is super popular in Bahrain, to the point, it is known in the region as Bahraini Tikka. I think its origin is in Iran. It is very cheap to buy and is super tasty. Black lemon powder is the main ingredient, which covers small cuts of beef and sometimes lamb. Oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper are also added. Served with white onion, fresh chili, Bagal, and Jerjeer (rocket/arugula). A spicy mint sauce is also often served.
