This creamy version has one powerful advantage for the cook: it is made with dry pasta, so there's no need for precooking. The pasta cooks in the oven, absorbing the liquid from the dairy products.

To print the recipe check the full recipe on my blog:
Ingredients
Makes about 6 servings
9 oz (250g) elbow macaroni
4 tbsp (56g) butter
3 tbsp (24g) all-purpose flour
2 cups (480ml) milk
1/2 tsp (3g) salt
freshy ground black pepper
garlic powder, optional
1 1/2 cups (150g) Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup (50g) Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup (50g) Mozzarella cheese, grated
Topping
1 tbsp (14g) butter, melted
1/2 cup (30g) panko breadcrumbs
salt
1. Preheat oven to 375F (190C).
2. Cook the pasta in salted water with 1 minute less than package instructions.
3. While the pasta cooks, in a medium sauce pan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the flour and stir until smooth and cook for about 1 minute, until bubbling. Gradually stir in milk, until mixture is smooth. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder if used and stir constantly until the sauce boils and begins to thicken.
4. Turn off the heat and stir in cheeses. Add drained pasta into the sauce and stir to coat.
5. In a small bowl combine panko bread crumbs with 1 tbsp of melted butter and spread on top of the macaroni.
6. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until browned and bubbly.
7. Serve immediately.

????I'm Stephanie and behind the camera, you have my sister Cloud. I started cooking at 4 years of age. What?! Yes (LOL) I pulled up a chair and my first choice was to fry an egg. I was hungry and that’s all I have to say about that experience. I would like to say I’m completely self-taught in the kitchen, but I have the lovely women in my family to thank. They taught me to honor my ancestors and to make my Mexican Cuisine comfortable for my home. I thank our creator for my curiosity and my never-ending search for the next gastronomic satiation. Cooking is a huge part of my daily life as I prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for my two American Korean/Mexican boys. I know who does that these days? Me, I homeschool my two boys and I’m grateful for every moment spent. ❤️ If you love our spectacular homemade recipes, Please take the time to Subscribe and support our channel.
