1 c Chopped mushrooms
1 Bunch green onions
1/4 c Margarine

Ingredients:
Basmati Rice - 1 Cup
Mushrooms - 200g
Oil - 3 Tbsp
Fennel - 1/4 Tsp
Green Chilli - 1
Small Onion - 12 to 15Nos
Onion - 1
Ginger Garlic - 1tTbsp
Tomato - 2
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1tsp
Coriander Powder - 2 Tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Curry Leaves as required
Coriander as required
Ghee - 1 Tbsp
salt to taste

Mushroom Peas Pulao | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana
A quick and simple recipe to make delicious mushroom peas pulao.
MUSHROOM PEAS PULAO
Ingredients
15 fresh button mushrooms, quartered
½ cup frozen green peas
1½ cups basmati rice, soaked
2 teaspoons oil
1 bay leaf
4-6 black peppercorns
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
3 cups vegetable stock
Salt to taste
Method
1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan, add bay leaf and peppercorns and sauté for a minute.
2. Add onion and ginger garlic paste, sauté till onions are golden brown in colour. Add mushrooms and cook till golden brown.
3. Add rice and sauté, for a minute. Add peas, vegetable stock and salt, mix well. When the mixture comes to a boil, cover and cook till rice is done.
4. Serve hot.

Ingredients
Basmati Rice - 1 Cup
Mushroom - 500 Gms Sliced
Oil - 1 1/2 Tbsp
Chopped Garlic - 1 Tsp
Chopped Green Chili
Onion - 1 No. Finely Chopped
Capsicum - 1 No.
Pepper
Vinegar - 2 Tsp
Soy Sauce - 2 Tsp
Schezwan Paste - 2 Tbsp
Spring Onion Greens
Water
Salt
Method:
1. Take 1 cup of basmati rice
2. Rinse it with water a couple of times
3. Take a pot and add enough water to cook the rice
4. Once the water comes to a boil, add 1/2 tsp of salt.
5. Cook the rice till it is 3/4th done
6. Strain the rice and leave it aside
7. Take a wide pan and add 1 1/2 tbsp of oil
8. Add 1 tsp finely chopped garlic, 2 finely chopped green chilies, 1 large onion finely chopped
9. Saute till the onions turn transparent
10. Add 1 capsicum cut into wedges
11. I have 500 gms of mushrooms, cut into thick slices
12. Add them to the pan
13. Saute the mushrooms for 2-3 mins
14. Season it with 1/2 tsp of salt and some fresh pepper and saute
15. Add 2 tsp of vinegar, 2 tsp of soy sauce, 2 tbsp schezwan paste
16. Saute the mushrooms till they are well combined with the sauces
17. The mushrooms are cooked well and the gravy is thickened, add the 3/4th cooked rice and mix well
18. Be careful not to break the rice while mixing
19. Finally, add spring onion greens and serve the mushroom fried rice hot.

Mushroom Rice Recipe - How to make British Indian Restaurant style Mushroom Rice - BIR
Mushroom rice is a delicious accompaniment to any curry and equally tasty on its own.
=== INGREDIENTS ===
1 chef's spoon (40ml) vegetable oil
½ medium (50g) onion peeled and finely sliced
5 mushrooms sliced
1 teaspoon (7g) salt
½ teaspoon (1g) kasoori methi leaves
1 teaspoon (3g) BIR mix powder
250g cooked basmati rice
handful of fresh coriander
(serves 2 people)
=== COOKING INSTRUCTIONS ===
Prep time: 5 mins | Cooking time: 15 mins
1. Heat a wok on a medium high heat and add the vegetable oil
2. Add the sliced onion and sliced mushrooms stirring occasionally and cook for around 5 mins until the onions turn translucent and soften
3. Add the mix powder, salt and methi and stir for 1 min
4. Add the cooked basmati rice stir so that all the rice is coated in the spices. Cook for another 5 mins until all the rice is piping hot.
5. Add the coriander and stir through then serve
