How To make Oatmeal Apple Cookies

butter flavor crisco
1 1/4
cup
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4
cup
milk
1 1/2
teaspoon
vanilla
1
cup
flour, all purpose
1 1/4
teaspoon
cinnamon
1/4
teaspoon
nutmeg
1/4
teaspoon
baking soda
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1
cup
apples, peeled, diced
3/4
cup
raisins (optional)
3/4
cup
walnut pieces, broken (optional)
3
cup
oats, quick cooking not instant or old fashioned
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease baking sheet with butter Flavor crisco. Set aside.
Cream butter Flavor crisco, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
Combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. Stir in apples, raisins and nuts. Stir in oats.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 13 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
