Parmesan and Chilli Grissini | Italian Breadsticks | Food Channel L Recipes
Food channel L - a new recipe every odd day of the month! Ideas for delicious and homemade food!
Ingredients for about 50 breadsticks:
400 g all-purpose flour
200 ml lukewarm water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp yeast
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
50 g parmesan cheese
1 tsp chilli flakes
Semolina
Salt flakes
Gnocchi and Breadsticks! Cooking From Your Stockpile | Stockpile Supper | Heartway Farms
Today Annie will take you along as we cook dinner from our prepping pantry today! On the menu this evening is gnocchi (in our super handy air fryer!) with homemade tomato sauce, along with some delectable homemade butter breadsticks! This is an easy meal that we're making with just what we have in our stockpile.

Here are the recipes for these dishes:
Homemade Breadsticks
1 1/2 warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 and 1/4 teaspoon of instant yeast
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
12 tbsp of butter
In a mixer with a dough hook combined water sugar and yeast. Let it sit for a few minutes until foamy. Stir in olive oil and salt. Add 4 cups of flour slowly until a nice dough ball has formed in the mixer. Let it mix or knead for 5 minutes.
You will need 2-9x13 pans. Spread four tablespoons of butter into the bottom and sides of each pan.
Divide the dough in half and on a lightly floured surface roll out each half into a rough 9x13 size. Transfer to buttered 9x13 baking dishes.
Brush with butter and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 475. Once the dough has been rising for 1 hour remove the plastic wrap, score (cut the shape of) the breadsticks and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the sides are golden.
Remove from oven, brush with more melted butter and top with the breadstick seasoning. Enjoy!
Breadstick Seasoning
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
Homemade Pasta Sauce
3 cans tomato sauce (15 oz)
3 teaspoons olive oil (to saute)
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/8 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoons salt
Gnocchi (store bought)
Olive oil
Salt to taste
Parsley
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Remove the Gnocchi from the package and place into a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and add spices. Stir well. Set your air fryer to 400° and bake gnocchi, stirring occasionally, for 13 to 20 minutes. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 handfuls cashews, soaked in boiling water for 15 mins
2 handfuls spinach/chard leaves
3-4 dill fronds
1-2 large fennel fronds
1 clove of garlic
1 spring onion
juice and zest from half a lemon
a good glug of extra virgin olive oil
2tbs nutritional yeast
1-2 cups cold water
salt and pepper
To decorate:
extra virgin olive oil
violas
marigold petals
fennel fronds
homemade or shop bought nut crumb/dukkah
Method:
- Place all the ingredients in a high speed blender and blitz to create a smooth pale green sauce, adding water as necessary
- Taste and adjust seasoning and sharpness so its flavour is balanced and moreish
- Pour into a pretty bowl and decorate with the flowers, crumbs and a drizzle of olive oil
- Serve with seasonal crudités, bread sticks or use as a sauce to dress salads, grains or pasta

Irresistible Appetizer - Marinated Feta Cheese and Olive Skewers
Indulge in a burst of Mediterranean flavors with our Marinated Feta and Olive Skewers! Each savory bite is loaded with tangy feta cheese and plump olives, infused with fennel's aromatic and slightly sweet flavor.

8 ounces (225g) feta cheese, cut into 3/4 inch (2cm) cubes
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 tablespoon fennel seeds
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Zest of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup (7g) finely chopped mint
20 mint leaves
1/2 cucumber, peeled and seeded, cut into 1/2 inch (1 cm) pieces
10 pitted black olives cut in half
Black pepper
Cocktail skewers - 2 inch (5cm)
Toast the sesame seeds and fennel seeds in a dry skillet over low heat until nutty and golden. Let cool.
If brined, pat the feta dry and cut into 3/4 inch (2cm) cubes.
In a bowl, combine the seeds, lemon juice, lemon zest, oil, and black pepper. Stir to combine. Add the feta and gently toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to marry. Just before assembling, add the chopped mint, and stir to combine.
To assemble:
Thread 1 mint leaf, 1 olive half, 1 cucumber slice and 1 feta cube on each skewer. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Makes 16 - 20 canapes.
Note: The feta can be marinated up to 3 days in advance. Skewers can be assembled up to 4 hours in advance.

Crunchy Italian Breadsticks - Grissini - Quick and Easy
Crunchy Italian Breadsticks, also called Grissini, are on the menu at Deep South Texas. This homemade bread is quick and easy to make and will impress the family. A great addition for a holiday meal, or just a snack. I have made 4 types. One with toasted sesame seeds, one with poppy seeds, one with Everything Bagel seasoning, and one with Montreal Stake seasoning (spicy). They turned out great. Recipe ingredients below.
Italian Breadsticks or Grissini
Makes 20 breadsticks
2/3 cups plus 1 teaspoon room temperature water
2 tsp Instant yeast
2 cups bread flour (all purpose flour should work)
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 Tablespoons olive oil
optional extras
1 Tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1 Tablespoon poppy seeds
1 Tablespoon Everything Bagel seasoning
1 Tablespoon Montreal Stake Seasoning
Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes, turning once
