How To make Parmesan Bread Sticks
1/4 c egg whites
1 lb Frozen Bread Dough -- * see note
1/4 c fat-free parmesan cheese
1 tbsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 450. Prepare baking sheets with cooking spray; set aside. Pour egg whites into a 9 x 13" pan. In another 9 x 13" pan sprinkle with parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Divide dough into 16 pieces and shape each piece into a ball. On lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a rope, 12" long. Dip rope in egg whites, then into the parmesan cheese mixture, coating evenly. Gently twist each rope several times to create a spiraled look, then lay bread sticks on prepared baking sheets, 2" apart. Bake for 12 mintues, or until crisp and golden brown.

4 tbsp olive oil

60 g parmesan, finely grated
100 g blanched almonds, finely ground
100 g raw pistachios, finely ground
230 g all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar

1 egg white (for brushing)
blanched ground almonds (for coating)

Ingredients:
¼ cup white sugar, divided
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water, divided
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, or more if needed
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter, melted
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Step 1
Dissolve 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar and yeast in 1/2 cup warm water in a bowl. Let stand until yeast softens and begins to form a creamy foam, about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Beat flour, oil, egg, salt, remaining sugar, and remaining warm water into yeast mixture until smooth, adding more flour if needed to form a soft dough. Turn dough onto a floured work surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6 to 8 minutes.
Step 3
Place dough in a greased bowl, turning once to cover completely with oil. Cover bowl with a damp towel and place in a warm area until dough is doubled in size, about 40 minutes.
Step 4
Grease a baking sheet.
Step 5
Punch dough down and turn onto a floured work surface. Divide dough into 18 pieces and shape each into a 6-inch rope. Arrange dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart; cover with a towel or plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size, about 25 minutes.
Step 6
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Remove cover from dough.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 8
Whisk butter and garlic salt together in a bowl; brush over each breadstick. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over each.

Homemade Breadsticks Recipe With Parmesan
These breadsticks fill the kitchen with a tempting aroma when they are baking, and they're wonderful served warm. Soft, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth breadsticks dusted with parmesan (you can add herbs or garlic powder.
And remember: your room temperature for dough proofing should be between 25°C and 36°C.
Very often I proof my dough in the oven as I keep door closed for the duration of the proofing time.
Get thermometer for baking and you’ll never have to guess at it again, it gets easier when you have the right tools, temperatures are extremely important while working with yeast and dough.

Recipe
Bread flour (sifted) strong 560 g
Warm Water 330 ml (40 - 46 °C)
Granulated sugar 35 g (20 g for the yeast and 15 g for your dough)
Instant yeast 10 g
Salt 20 g
Olive oil 15 ml
Melted butter 50 g
Parmesan cheese powder 60 g
Optional (garlic powder) - just sprinkle any herbs you like
Bake in a preheated oven for 12-14 minutes at 190 °C, reduce the temperature to 200 °C.
