Shrimp and Oyster PO Boy | Peacemaker PO Boy sandwich is a taste of New Orleans. Po boys are a New Orleans staple that can be made in many different variations. How do you make a PO Boy you ask? Simple ensure that you have all the key ingredients such as: Remoulade sauce, French bread, dill pickle slices, bacon (optional), cheese (optional) and you'll have a jaw dropping sandwich yourself. The Shrimp and Oyster PO Boy is also known as a Peacemaker PO Boy. Shrimp and Oysters paired together you wouldn't think that they go together; however, not only do they go together they taste amazingly great as a duo. The best PO Boy sandwiches are made in New Orleans that without a doubt!! Po Boy ingredients are items that most of us tend to have with the exception of Oysters perhaps but most of the ingredients can be used to make the Remoulade sauce in itself.

HOMEMADE BUTTERMILK IN 3-5 MINS
REMOULADE SAUCE
Ingredients - Shrimp your preference in size, Oysters, Canola/Vegetable oil your preference, French bread, shrimp fry mix/batter, beefsteak tomatoes, Sweet & smoky season (5 TBSP), Remoulade sauce (store bought or can make homemade see Catfish po boy link above, Cayenne Pepper (3 TBSP), buttermilk (optional) link below on how to do it from scratch in 3-5 mins, Old bay 5 TBSP, Tropical Sazon seaon (4 TBSP).
Preparation instructions as follows:
SHRIMP BATTER MIX
- pour in bowl or large freezer bag, add 5 TBSP Old Bay, 3 TBSP Cayenne Pepper, Tropical Sazon (4 TBSP mix well, set aside until shrimp comes out of fridge from marinating and begin coating shrimp and placing on a bake sheet. Heat oil to medium high heat for 2-3 mins, drop a small pinch of flour into oil if it sizzles immediately then it's ready.
- Rinse and clean shrimp
- no need to pat dry please shake off excess moisture and then add to buttermilk (marinate & refrigerate for 30-60 mins)
- once shrimp is done marinating add to shrimp batter mix shake off excess and place on baking rack & sheet pan (continue coating all shrimp until they are coated).
- Follow instructions on pre-breaded package of Oysters and cook accordingly.
Cooking instructions as follows:
- heat oil of your choice Canola or Vegetable oil on medium high heat
- cook shrimp for 3 mins, also cook oysters according to package instructions
- slice french bread the long ways
- slice tomatoes to your desired thickness
- coat your bread with Remoulade sauce, add shredded lettuce, and slice tomatoes to top bread slice make Po' boy to your liking, add your shrimp and oysters to the bottom bread slice serve and enjoy!

1/4 cup Creole Mustard
1 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
1 Tbsp Paprika
2 tsp Cajun or Creole Seasoning
1 tsp Hot Sauce
1 tsp Pickle Juice (dill or sweet)
2 tsp Horseradish
Shrimp
Ingredients
1 or 2 bags of Large or Jumbo Shrimp
2 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
2 Tbsp Worcestershire

2 tsp hot sauce
2 tsp capers, roughly chopped
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp Creole or Dijon mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
