Butter Pecan Pound Cake
Pound Cake:
3 sticks salted butter room temp.
8 oz. cream cheese room temp.
5 large eggs room temp.
3 cups Swans Down cake flour
2 cups white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
pecan oil 1 teaspoon
black walnut oil 1/2 teaspoon
almond oil 1/2 teaspoon
2 tablespoons hazelnut coffee creamer
vanilla extract 4 teaspoons
cream bouquet 1 teaspoons
Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons hazelnut coffee creamer
1 tablespoon milk
extracts/flavorings to taste (use the same as in the cake, plus maple extract)

New Orleans Pecan Praline Pound Cake Recipe
Pound Cake:
Sift together
3 cups of cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Cream together
2 sticks of butter
1/3 cup of oil
2 1/2 cup of sugar
After creamed until fluffy add in 4 eggs one at a time
Whisk together
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp butter extract
1 tsp almond extract
Alternate wet ingredients and flour mixing into creamed butter until all well combined
Spray Bundt pan with nonstick spray before adding cake batter. Bake on 325 for one hour
Allow to cool completely before flipping out of pan
Praline Cake topping
In a saucepan combine
1 can of evaporated milk
1 1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 tsp salt
Half a stick of butter
Stir continuously on medium for ten minutes
Add 2 cups of finely chopped pecans
Continue to stir until thicken
Carefully pour pecan praline glaze on top of your pound cake

This is the time of year for baking. And let me tell you, my amazing friend Ashley Ashley, you heard me right, that is really her name, dropped by to visit with all of us and show us how she makes this delicious cake. Y'all, this cake is chocked full of pecans and cream cheese and is so delicious and moist. You need to make this cake, keep for yourself and make another one to gift to someone. It really is that good. Wake up on Sunday morning, grab a cup of hot coffee or tea, cut a slice of this cake, butter it and throw it in a skillet and toast it up. Ingredients:
Cake:
3 cups all purpose flour
3 cups sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups butter, at room temp
6 eggs, room temp
1 cups sour cream
1/4 half and half, or heavy cream, or whole milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp butter nut flavoring, optional
2 cups pecans, chopped
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 8-oz package cream cheese, room temp
1/4 cup butter, room temp
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt
1 1 lb box powdered sugar
Directions Cake:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan, set aside. In bowl of electric mixer, add flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir together with a whisk. To the flour, mixing well after each ingredient, add butter, eggs, one at a time, sour cream, half and half, vanilla, and pecans. Pour into greased bundt pan. Bake 1 hour and 15-30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for a few minutes in pan then turn out onto cake plate. Make the frosting.
Frosting:
In the bowl of electric mixer, add frosting ingredients and blend until well combined. If frosting is too thick, add a splash of milk or cream. Frost cake while slightly warm.

toast pecans for a nuttier taste

Easy Walnut Or Pecan Pound Cake
This is one of those cakes you'll love to make because all the ingredients are placed in the mixing bowl together and then mixed at the same time. For a busy day or a day you have a lot of errands to run, this is the perfect cake! The recipe is below. Enjoy!!!

Walnut Pound Cake Starting With a Cake Mix
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup AP flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream ( room temperature)
1 cup oil
6 large or extra large eggs (room temperature)
1 to 1-1/2 cups finely chopped walnuts or pecans or nut of your choice
Preheat oven to 350. Grease very well a tube pan
Add all ingredients to a mixer, just dumping them in together. Beat at medium speed until thoroughly mixed, about 5 minutes. Pour into a well greased tube pan and bake 55 to 60 minutes or until a tester inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes in tube pan then turn out on a cooling rack until cool. Enjoy!!
