wine, dry red

mustard, dijon style

teaspoon
worcestershire sauce

teaspoon
garlic powder

beef, pot roast
Directions:
Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper and place in crockpot. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. Remove meat and slice. If you want you can thicken sauce with flour dissolved in a small amount of water and serve over meat or as a side dish for potatoes.

Chuck Roast 2.5lb
Salt for seasoning
Pepper for seasoning
Red wine 250ml
Beef broth 300ml
Tomato paste 10g
Cloves 2
Thymes to taste
Onion 1/2
Celery 2 sticks
Large Carrot 1
Cornstarch 20g
Directions
Season beef with salt and pepper then wait 30 minutes before searing. After seared deglaze pan with red wine then move beef and red wine into a Dutch pan and add beef broth, tomato paste, onion, Celery, Carrot, and thyme and Cloves in a cheese cloth so will be easy to remove. Cover pan and cook on a low heat for over 4 hours. After then remove the cooked meat, filter the juice and reduce it. Melt cornstarch in 1/3 of the liquid then add to sauce to blend and thickening. Place your roast over your favorite side, pour sauce and enjoy ????

Shopping List:
3-4 lb chuck roast
1 packet ranch seasoning
1 packet au jus gravy mix
1/2 - 1 stick butter
4-8 pepperoncini peppers + 2 tbsps juice
1/2 quart beef stock
2 onions
1 head of garlic
rosemary and thyme
AP Seasoning
Slurry - 3 tbsps cold water and 3 tbsps corn starch to thicken gravy
Directions:
Allow roast to come up to room temp. Season generously. Heat dutch oven or skillet over high heat and add avocado oil. Sear meat on all sides for 2-4 minutes or until a nice crust develops - then remove. Discard any burnt oil and add in butter. Once butter melts, add in your flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add 1/2 of your beef stock and deglaze the pan. Add in garlic and mix to combine. Add onions and then add back in your roast. Mix in ranch packet and au jus gravy mix. Add peppers and some of the juice from the jar. Toss in a sprig of rosemary and cover with a lid. Place in a 350 degree oven for 3-4 hours or until the roast passes the fork test (should be fork tender and shred easily). Enjoy!

1/4 cup tomato paste
2 cups beef stock
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 sprig rosemary

Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast Recipe - How to Make Flavorful Beef Pot Roast in the Slow Cooker
This is the best ever beef pot roast made in the slow cooker. The beef is packed with all the right flavors, seared and slow cooked in a delicious flavor packed sauce. This beef pot roast is a delicious comforting dish.
INGREDIENTS
5 to 6 lbs beef chuck roast ( i used 5.5 lbs)
Salt and pepper to your taste ( i used 2 Tbs salt and 1/2 Tbs pepper)
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbs olive oil to saute veggies
1 large onion, cut up
3 stalks of celery
4 large carrots, cut up
6 cloves of garlic, minced
salt and pepper to season veggies
2 to 3 Tbs oil to sear meat
2 Tbs butter to make sauce
3 Tbs flour
1/2 cup red wine, or chicken broth
2 cups chicken broth
2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
5 Tbs tomato paste
4 Tbs brown sugar
3 bay leaves
fresh thyme (i did not measure, but about 1 handful)
4 to 5 sprigs of rosemary
