1 1/3 c Flour 1 c Sour milk 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Sugar 1/2 ts Baking soda 2 Eggs 1/4 c Melted shortening Sift flour, measure, and sift with salt and baking soda. Beat egg yolks until light and foamy. Add sugar and shortening. Mix well. Add milk alternately with sifted dry ingredients to egg mixture. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in hot waffle iron. 6 servings. WET INGREDIENTS 30 ml Warm Milk 570ml Sour Milk (You can substitute this with 570ml Milk + 30 ml Vinegar) 115g Butter (Melted) 2 Large Eggs
Note: *It is important to let your Batter rest for 1 hour for the flavour to develop an for the yeast to fully activate *Pre-heat you waffle maker before pouring the batter

Norwegian Waffles recipe - Easy, fluffy, classic
Traditional Norwegian recipe. Norwegians often eat it with brunost (brown cheese) or jam and sour cream. Super easy. Real good. Recipe also in description.
optional: 1 tsp ground cardamom or vanilla extract
1. Start with combining eggs and sugar 2. Melt the butter and let cool 3. Mix up the dry ingredients 4. Add in the milk, eggs and butter to the flour and whisk until well combined 5. Heat up your waffle iron, and cook until golden.
Enjoy with syrup, butter, berries, chocolate sauce, even bacon, perfect for breakfast or just any time of day!

Buttermilk Belgian Waffles Recipe
Buttermilk makes these belgian waffles light and moist. They will still come out crunchy outside (if your waffles iron is hot enough) but they will taste buttery and will be moist. I find this belgian waffle recipe is a good balance of texture. When you use milk only instead of buttermilk the waffles will be tougher and drier inside.
Ingredients - 1 egg - 2 tbs of sugar - 2 tbs melted and cooled butter - 1 cup all purpose flour - 1 cup of buttermilk - 1/4 cup of milk - 1 tsp baking powder - 1/4 tsp baking soda

Ingredients: 100 g unsalted butter 100 g granulated sugar 4 large eggs 40 g sour cream 1/2 tspoon baking soda 150-180 g flour 100 ml whole milk
