Tequila Marinated Steak/ Mexican Style Steaks
TEQUILA MARINATED Steak / The Best steak ever.
#tequilasteak #marinadedsteak #mexicansteak
Hi guys, welcome to Marks Irish Kitchen, where I cook family friendly recipes that everyone can enjoy. Todays video is for a tequila marinated steak. This dish is a firm favourite for us and is great for a BBQ or just cooked on the griddle as I have done. Marinated overnight the steaks are extremely tender and cooking them cooks all the alcohol off.
INGREDIENTS
2tbsp olive oil
3tbsp tequila
3tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
1tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
3 cloves garlic crushed
2tsp chilli powder
2tsp ground cumin
1 tsp oregano
Salt and pepper
4 sirloin steaks
METHOD
Place the oil, tequila, orange and lime juices, garlic, chilli powder, cumin, oregano and salt and pepper in a large, shallow, non metallic dish and mix together.
Add the steaks, cover and leave to chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours but preferably overnight. Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before serving to return to room temperature.
Take a griddle pan and put it on a high heat and brush with some cooking oil.
Add the steaks and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side basting frequently until steaks are cooked to your liking.
Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving
Enjoy these with a corn salad and crushed garlic potatoes
