Homemade Whole Wheat Tortilla Recipe | Quick and Easy Tortilla Recipe | Soft Mexican Bread Recipe

Today's recipe is Mexican Special Tortilla Recipe. This is very easy to make soft breads/ rotis. This is used to make Tacitos, Flautas, Frankie, Quesedilla and many more delicious dishes which I will be coming soon on my channel.
INGREDIENTS OF WHOLE WHEAT TORTILLA
2 CUPS WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
1 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 TSP SALT/ AS PER TASTE
2 TBSP OLIVE OIL
RECIPE FOR WHOLE WHEAT TORTILLA
STEP 1 : SIEVE 2 CUPS OF WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR.
STEP 2 : POUR 2 TBSP OLIVE OIL OR GHEE IN IT.
STEP 3 : PUT 1 TSP BAKING POWDER AND 1 TSP SALT OR AS PER TASTE.
STEP 4 : USE EITHER SUFFICIENT WHEY WATER OR LUKE WARM WATER GRADUALLY TO PREPARE SOFT DOUGH.
STEP 5 : KNEAD IT FOR 5-10 MINUTES.
STEP 6 : POUR FEW DROPS OF OLIVE OIL/ GHEE AND AGAIN KNEAD IT.
STEP 7 : COVER THE DOUGH WITH A CLOTH AND REST IT FOR 15 MINUTES.
STEP 8 : AFTER 15 MINUTES AGAIN POUR
FEW DROPS OF OLIVE OIL.
STEP 9 : NOW MAKE A ROUND FLATTENED BALL OF THE DOUGH.
STEP 10 : SPRINKLE SOME WHEAT FLOUR AND ROLL IT WITH THE HELP OF ROLLING PIN TO MAKE A THIN TORTILLA.
STEP 11 : NOW COOK TORTILLA ON PREHEATED PAN.
STEP 12 : COOK TORTILLA SLIGHTLY FROM BOTH SIDE ON MEDIUM FLAME.
STEP 13 : COOK ALL TORTILLAS IN SAME WAY.
STEP 14 : AFTER PREPARING THEM COVER WITH A CLOTH.
STEP 15 : THIN AND SOFT TORTILLA ARE READY.
YOU CAN STORE TORTILLAS IN A AIRTIGHT CONTAINER OR CAN FREEZE THEM.

Today I’m going to share with you how to make the best soft flour tortillas, flour tortillas are a staple, and nothing beats homemade. I love flour tortillas over corn, but lets be honest store bought does and will never taste the same,. Making flour tortillas can be a little intimidated because i was at one point because my tortillas would never come out to a complete full circle but as grandma and mom would say, no se van a ir rodando, so its ok if they are not perfectly round, just make sure they are thin. Like everything practice makes perfect, be patient and enjoy the process its seriously super easy ☺️ now I been making tortillas for a while now ????I dont want to sound old but in the way I have tried many flours and the best one yet is from the brand King Arthur, the dough just comes perfect every time! I made the tortillas with lard, butter, shortning and oil and the best ones are made out of shorthning or lard, butter gives a really funny aftertaste, I like to taste the flour torilla so that is the reason I stick to shortning, hot water is need so that it desolves the shortning/lard or choice of fat you are using. Resting the dough is important because it allosaurus the gluten to relax( helps the dough to be elasticy)????

Tip!!!! Enjoy while hot with your favorite dish! or in a burrito, make them smaller for tacos ???? to store, allow the tortillas to cool down completly inside a kitchen towel, place th3em in a ziplock bag and store in the refrigerator
dont overcook your tortilolas as this will cause your tortillas to be hard!
Ingredients:
4 cups APF my favorite is King Arthur brand
6 tbsp of lard, shortening or butter
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
2 cups hot water(as hot as your hands can hadle)

Homemade Whole Wheat Flour Tortillas are a staple dish of the Mexican's. Making home made tortillas has been one of my favourites, as it comes packed with flavours and texture. Another reason, it makes it easier for me is because it is just the same was we make our indian bread Phulka's or Roti's, the only difference being the flour tortillas are cooked in white flour. You could make these tortillas with whole wheat flour following the same recipe below and they would taste just as great.
