Australian Meatloaf with Worcestershire sauce
In this video we will show you how quick and simple it is to prepare and bake an original Australian Meatloaf with a touch of Worcestershire sauce.
It’s as easy as mixing your ingredients into the minced beef and then straight into the oven for one hour. How simpler can it get?
If you’re a meat lover or you know one that you want to impress try this delicious healthy dish and serve it with mash potato, green peas and gravy or any other side dish that will suit the occasion.

Servings: 4 servings
Ingredients:
1 kg ground beef
1 egg
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup grated zucchini, squeezed & dry
1 cup grated cheese
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
2 Tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 medium size onion, chopped
2 Tbsp fresh parsley
For the topping
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp brown sugar
Instruction:
1) Preheat the oven to 180°C
2) Fried onion separately
2) In a big bowl mix ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, zucchini, cheese, bread crumbs, tomato
sauce, fried onion, parsley, salt, black pepper mix until well combined.
3) Form the mixture into a loaf pan, press it down and shape into an even layer.
4) Mix the ketchup and sugar in a small bowl, pour the sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
5) Bake for 1 hour until meatloaf cooked and browned.
6) Remove the meatloaf from the oven and set aside for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
7) Server with mash potato, green peas and gravy.

this meatloaf is cheap and easy to make. packed full of flavor. so soft melt in your mouth you wont believe your eating meatloaf. using mince and sausage meat veggies and old Aussie glaze. makes 4 huge serves or 6 normal serves. recipe written below
250g sausage meat
500g beef mince
1 stick cellery chopped small
1 sm carrot grated
1 small onion chopped small
1 table sp fresh chopped parsley
1 egg beaten
salt and pepper
1 table sp tomato sauce
2 tea sp worcestershire sauce
2 tea sp dijon mustard
1 cup dry bread crumbs
pre heat oven 180 degrees c
glaze
in a saucepan 30g butter
1/2 cup water
2 table sp malt vinigar
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 table sp lemon juice
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tea sp instant coffee
bring to boil then straight to a simmer for 5 mins
cook meatloaf for 1/2 hour then
use 1/3 glaze and coat loaf cook 10 mins repeat twice total 30 mins

Baking paper
Bake in oven at 200 degrees for 45 minutes. Wait 10 minutes before serving.

Meatloaf for Trish
Recipe
Ingredients
- 1kg beef mince 80/20
- 130g panko bread crumbs
- 160ml milk
- 1 onion (white or brown)
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 eggs
- 10 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 200ml tomato sauce
- 50ml apple cider vinegar
- 50g sugar (brown works best but I didn’t have any handy)
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 160c.
2. Start by mixing your breadcrumbs, milk, paprika, thyme and garlic together. Once the bread crumbs have absorbed all the milk, mix through two beaten eggs.
3. Next, with your hands mix the beef mince through the bread and egg mixture until it’s really well combined.
4. Press this into a greased bread tin and turn out onto a lined oven tray. Place this in the oven for 15 minutes.
5. While this is in the oven, over a medium heat add the tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar and sugar, and heat until the sugar is dissolved to make your glaze.
6. After the first 15 minutes, glaze the meatloaf with ½ of the glaze and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
7. Glaze with the final ½ of the glaze and return to the oven for the final 20 minutes, or until the internal temp reaches 70c.
8. Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before you slice and serve. Goes well with mash potatoes and greens. Enjoy!
