Cheap Fried Bean Patties
Fried bean patties use 4 incredibly cheap ingredients: flour, beans, oil, and salt, to make a crispy, satisfying meal that also happens to be a complete vegan protein! You can of course add other aromatics (onions, garlic, spices, herbs, etc.) to make these bean patties even tastier, but with just these 4 basic ingredients, this cheap treat is yours.

Recipe is for 1 patty. Easily multipliable.
Combine in a bowl:
1/4 cup cooked beans
1 TBS flour
Salt to taste (if you're unsure, you can always sprinkle with salt after it's cooked)
Mash the beans first, then stir in the flour and salt. Don't overwork or your patties could become tough. Form into a patty (it should look like a small hamburger patty.)
Heat a skillet with some oil on medium. Fry your patty a few minutes per side until a crust develops.

The trick is to bake canned black beans in the oven to dehydrate them before chopping them and incorporating them into a vegetarian patty flavored with onions, chiles, chipotle peppers, and cotija cheese. cashews add more texture. They're delicious, even if you aren't normally a veggie-burger person.

These Black Bean Burgers are savory, filling and vegetarian. The perfect substitute for a regular beef patty and delicious and healthy to boot!

✅Ingredients
• 1/2 large red onion chopped
• 1-2 whole chipotle peppers in adobo sauce optional
• 4 cloves garlic
• 2 (15 ounce) cans black beans drained and rinsed
• 1 cup plain bread crumbs
• 1½ teaspoons cumin
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 2 large eggs

1️⃣ 00:00:13 - Place onion, chipotle, and garlic into a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add in black beans and pulse until the black beans are partially chopped, leaving some whole or partial beans. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
2️⃣ 00:00:59 - Stir in the bread crumbs, cumin, salt, pepper and eggs until well combined.
3️⃣ 00:01:45 - Divide up the mixture to form 8 patties.
4️⃣ 00:02:17 - When ready to cook choose one of the following options:
SKILLET: 00:02:29 - Heat a lightly oiled skillet to medium high heat. Cook for 5 minutes on each side.
BAKED: Bake in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes each side.
GRILLED: Cook on an outdoor grill for 5 minutes each side.
5️⃣ 00:02:47 - Serve hot on a bun with desired toppings.

Cooking instructions:

• 400g Kidney Beans
• 1/2 Diced White onion
• 4 Chopped Garlic Cloves
• 1 Cup of Fresh Coriander
• 1/2 Tsp Coriander / Cumin Powder
• 1/2 Tsp Paprika Powder
• 2 Tbsp Flour
• Olive Oil

•Splash of olive oil into a hot pan
•Pan fry onions and garlic for 5 mins
•Add into a food processor
- Fried Onions & Garlic
- Kidney Beans
- Fresh Coriander
- Paprika Powder
- Coriander/Cumin Powder
- Flour
•Remove the mixture into portions onto a flour-coated tray (to avoid sticking)
•Roll mixture in palms and form patties
•Freeze for 40 mins
•Remove from freezer
•Splash of olive oil into the hot pan
•Pan fry patties for 6 mins each side until outside is crispy

FRIED PINTO BEAN BURGER - IMPOSSIBLE BURGERS SUCK!
So I made way to many pinto beans a few weeks ago and I have more leftover than I know what to do with. So i decided to make some fried pinto bean burgers, patties or whatever you wanna call them and this is how I did it and no I'm not turning into a vegan lol although this is a vegan burger lol. Pinto beans are very cheap and extremely versatile and perfect for anyone on a tight budget or income.
