How to make Country Kitchen Casserole (Campbell Soup, Spam)
Here's another recipe from 'Most for the Money Main Dishes' - a Campbell Cookbook from 1971 full of easy, economical meal ideas. I've shared another recipe from this book already (Gold Coast Pork Chops) if you're interested.
It's an American cookbook, but I'm in Australia now, so I'll give the original recipe first, followed by the modified version I use as our products are not always the same, e.g. different can sizes, etc.
ORIGINAL RECIPE:
1 can (10-3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons prepared yellow mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cans (about 16oz each) small whole white potatoes, drained and sliced
1 package (10 oz) frozen peas, cooked and drained
1 can (12 oz) luncheon meat, cut in 6 slices
In bowl, combine soup, water, mustard, Worcestershire and cheese; add potatoes and peas. Spoon into 1-1/2 qt shallow baking dish (10x6x2); top with meat. Bake at 400F for 25 minutes or until hot. Makes 6 servings.
MY AUSSIE VERSION:
The method is the same, but the ingredients differ a bit -
1 can (420g) cream of mushroom soup
1/3 cup water
2 tsp yellow mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire
1-1/2c shredded cheese
1 large (750g) and 1 small (410g) can small whole potatoes
300g frozen peas or mixed veggies
1 can spam, cut into 6 slices
Assemble as above and bake at 200C / 190C (if fan forced) for about 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Visit and Like us on Facebook:

SPAM Casserole
(RIP Phyllis Stokes)
1 can spam
3 potatoes cubed small
1 medium onion diced
½ cup diced carrots
½ cup broccoli florets
½ cup frozen corn
1 can cream of mushroom soup (add 4 oz sliced mushrooms – optional)
1 Can heavy cream (or water or milk)
1 Cup shredded cheddar (or cheese of your preference)
Season as you like
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
Mix all ingredients but only use ¾ cup of cheese
One all mixed well, put into casserole dish
Top with remaining ¼ cup of cheese
Bake 45 to 60 minutes, check at 45 minutes
Once potatoes are tender and topping is golden remove from oven
Let stand 5-10 minutes then serve.

Easy Dinner Recipe - Spam Recipe
I really hope you guys like this recipe! This is one of my family recipes as a kid that I thought I’d share with you all. It’s simple & easy for any weeknight dinner.
Ingredients Spam&Corn:
Spam (lite)
1 Can of corn (W/the juice)
Onion
Tomato
1 box Tomato Sauce (Del Fuerte) 1tbsp
1tsp Chicken Bouillon
Ingredients Macaroni & Cheese:
Large elbow macaroni
2 boxes tomato sauce (Del Fuerte)
1/4 cup of Sour cream (more or less up to you)
1-2 cups of Medium Cheddar cheese
-Remember the more you add the creamier.. just go with what works best for you
1 tsp Chichen Bouillon
Pepper to taste

230g ground beef
1 egg
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
paprika
mix well
50g chopped onion
15g green onion
15ml olive oil
Mix well
Tortilla(23cm)
Fold and unfold the tortilla in half
Take some of the meat fillings
Put the filling on the tortilla
Spread the beef on half of the tortilla evenly
Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese
Fold the tortilla in half
Tortilla(17cm)
You can also make it with smaller tortillas
Fold than unfold in quarters
Cut the tortilla like this
Spread the beef filling on 3/4 of the tortilla like this
Fold the tortilla like this
Repeat

Medium-low heat
Olive oil
Spread the oil every in the pan
Fry the tortilla for 5 minutes
Flip and fry for another 5 minutes
The color should be golden brown
Done!
Medium-low heat
Add some olive oil to the pan
Place the small tortillas in the pan
Fry for 5 minutes
Brush oil on top
Flip then fry for 8 minutes
Add 1tbsp water in the pan
Done!
These meat tortillas are so delicious!

Wenn Sie keine ofenfeste Pfanne haben, können Sie das Rindfleisch und die Zwiebeln anbraten und dann alles in eine Auflaufform geben. Servieren Sie dieses käsige Meisterwerk mit etwas Sriracha oder Ketchup an der Seite.
