How To make Chocolate Madeleines
4 oz Semi-sweet chocolate
coarsely chopped
3/4 c Unsalted Butter :
melted & cooled
1 1/4 c Sifted Cake Flour
1/2 t Baking powder
1/4 t Salt
3 Eggs -- room temp
1 t Vanilla
2/3 c Sugar
Preheat oven to 350 deg. Butter 30 madeleine molds. Melt chocolate in top of double boiler set over hot water. Stir in butter. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs in large bowl of electric mixer until light and lemon colored; add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly at high speed 5 minutes. Reduce speed to medium and beat until mixture has quadrupled in volume, about 5 minutes. Gently fold in flour mixture, then chocolate. Place 1 tablespoon batter in center of each mold. Bake exactly 12 minutes. (Madeleines should be moist and fudgy in center.) Cool on rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Store in airtight container.)

Today we have a chocolate Madeleine recipe! It has been a busy few weeks for me, so much so that I’ve barely had any time to bake! In situations like these, simple and quick recipes are usually what I turn to. There are nothing particularly special or complex about this recipe, it is just a well balanced and delicious recipe which also happens to be quite pleasing on the eye!
This recipe is enough to make 6- 8 madeleines
Ingredients in metric
- 45g butter
- 1 large egg
- 50g light brown sugar
- 40g plain flour
- 10g ground almond
- 15g cocoa powder
- 2g baking powder
-5g icing / powdered sugar (for dusting)
Ingredients in cups
- 1/2 sticks of butter
- 1 large egg
- 01/3 cups of light brown sugar
- 1/3 cups plain flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoon of ground almond
- 1 table spoon of cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon icing / powdered sugar (for dusting)

CHOCOLATE MADELEINES How to Make Madeleines with chocolate | Mini French Cakes
Buttery, two-bite delights fashioned like little shells, these rich, velvety chocolate madeleines are a delightful fusion of the two. Before sinking your teeth into the soft, melting chocolate crumb on the inside, you'll first encounter a thin crust that is just barely crunchy on the exterior.
Ingredients to make Chocolate Madeleines
Egg - 2
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Flour - 3/4 cup
Cocoa Powder - 3 tbsp
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Melted Butter - 110 gms
Method to make Chocolate Madeleines
1. Mix egg with sugar and vanilla essence till the sugar gets melted.
2. Sift in the dry ingredients and mix.
3. Add melted butter and mix till it is absorbed into the batter.
4. Refrigerate the batter for 1 hour or overnight.
5. Add small scoops of this batter into greased baking trays.
6. Bake it at 180 degree pre heated oven for 12 minutes.
7. Remove it from the tray when it it is still warm and and cool it down.
8. Dip it in some chocolate and Enjoy.
