How To make Chocolate Pound Cake
1 c Butter or margarine;
-softened 1/2 c Shortening
3 c Sugar
5 Eggs
1 1/2 ts Vanilla
3 c All-purpose flour; sifted
1/2 c Cocoa
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Milk
Recipe by: Martha White Southern Sampler Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar together in mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Sift flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder together; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted one inch from edge comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes; turn out onto wire rack and cool completely. -----

1/2 Tsp Baking Powder

Baker's German's Sweet Chocolate
Water (Start With About 1/4 C)
Butter
Powdered Sugar
Vanilla Extract
TOASTED COCONUT & PECAN FROSTING
1 Can Evaporated Milk
1 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
1 Stick Butter
3 Large Egg Yolks
1/8 Tsp Salt
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
1.5-2 Cups Toasted Sweetened Coconut Flakes
1 Cup Toasted Pecans

Ingredients:
1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 3.9 oz package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup water
4 large eggs
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Combine all ingredients in large bowl. With electric mixer, beat on low until combined, then increase to medium and beat for 8 minutes. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake 50 - 60 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Cool and glaze.
Glaze:
2 cups sifter confectioners sugar
1 tsp instant coffee
3 Tbsp water
or 3 Tbsp leftover coffee
Sift powdered sugar into a medium sized bowl. Stir in coffee. Stir well and drizzle over cooled cake.
