Crafty Crescent Lasagna
This recipe from the Pillsbury website.
INGREDIENTS:
Meat Filling:
1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
1/2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef ( I used a pound of ground beef and omitted the sausage)
3/4 cup chopped onions
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1/2teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
Dash pepper
1can (6 oz) tomato paste
Cheese Filling:
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese ( 1 used 1/4 cup Parmesan and 1/4 cup Mozzarella)
1cup small-curd cottage cheese or Ricotta cheese
1egg
Crust:
2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations® refrigerated seamless dough sheet
2(7x4-inch) slices mozzarella cheese (I used 1 cup shredded mozzarella)
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon sesame seed
DIRECTIONS:
In 10-inch skillet, cook sausage and beef until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink, stirring frequently; drain. Stir in remaining meat filling ingredients; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated.
Meanwhile, heat oven to 375°F. In small bowl, mix cheese filling ingredients. Unroll both cans of dough. Place dough rectangles side by side, on ungreased cookie sheet (if using crescent dough, firmly press edges and perforations to seal). Press to form 15x13-inch rectangle.
Spoon half of meat filling in 6-inch wide strip lengthwise down center of dough to within 1 inch of short sides. Spoon cheese filling over meat filling; spoon remaining meat filling evenly over cheese filling. Arrange mozzarella cheese slices over filling.
Fold short sides of dough 1 inch over filling. Fold long sides of dough tightly over filling, overlapping edges in center 1/4 inch; firmly pinch center seam and ends to seal. Brush with milk; sprinkle with sesame seed.
Bake 23 to 27 minutes or until deep golden brown.

Hey guys, today we are sharing 3 amazing Southern church cookbook recipes. The recipes are Crescent Sausage Eggs, Lasagna Skillet and Mexican Casserole. We hope that you enjoy them. Please let us know if you will be trying any of these fun recipes.
Thanks for your support!
➡️Crescent Sausage Eggs
1 (8 count) crescent rolls container
1 lb. mild sausage
8 oz. cheese, grated
5 eggs
1 cup milk
Brown and drain sausage. Grease 9x13-inch pan. Lay crescent rolls and cheese in pan. Beat milk with eggs; fold in sausage and pour on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
➡️Lasagna Skillet
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. (3 c.) noodles
1 lb. jar spaghetti sauce
2 c. water
1 c. cottage cheese or ricotta
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 c. parmesan
1 egg
1/2 c. mozzarella
Brown beef, drain. Put on medium heat. Add sauce, water, noodles. Press noodles into liquid. Cover, turn on low heat and cook 12 minutes. Combine cottage cheese, eggs, parmesan, and oregano. Drop on top of noodles. Sprinkle with mozzarella. Cover and cook*.
*The recipe did not indicated how long to cook it. You are looking for the noodles to be cooked and for the sauce to reduce a little. We cooked it for about 12 minutes. Our liquid didn't reduce that much, but we used more sauce than we were supposed to. lol
➡️Mexican Casserole
1 can crescent rolls
1 lb. hamburger meat
1 can Rotel
1 pkg taco seasoning
(find a homemade taco seasoning version here
1-1/2 c. grated cheese
(find a recipe for Mexican blend here
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brown your hamburger meat and drain. Add the Rotel and taco seasoning and 1/4 c. of water to the meat. After you heat this through, then add 1/2 of the cheese and heat until melted. In an 8x11-inch dish, roll out the croissants to make a crust for the bottom. Then pour the meat mixture in the crust. Bake for 20 minutes or until the crust is brown.
