How To make Fish Mulligan
6 diced bacon strips
3 medium onions
sliced
1 1/2 pounds fresh haddock :
cut in 2 1/2" pieces
1 1/2 pounds peeled potatoes cut in 3/4" cubes
3 large carrots :
cut in 3/4" cubes
1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 cup diced green pepper
2 teaspoons salt (or salt to taste)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 cups boiling water
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes (3 1/2 c.)
2 tablespoons snipped parsley
Can also add chicken breasts (skinned, boned, cubed), shrimp, clams, oysters, e tc.
In deep kettle or Dutch oven, saute bacon until lightly browned; remove bacon, set aside.
In same kettle, saute onions until tender. Add fish, potatoes, celery seeds, carrots, green peppers, salt, pepper, chicken and/or any other seafood and boil ing water. Simmer, covered, until vegetables are tender, about 25 minutes. Ad d tomatoes; heat. Garnish with parsley and crumbled bacon bits. Serves 6 main dishes. Recipe doubled nicely:
use 1 pound bacon!

Pepper Powder-1/2 tspn

For gravy
Onion-3 small
Ginger-1 inch piece
Garlic-3 podes
Green chilli-2
Tomato-2

Garam Masala Powder-2 pinch
Cinnamon-1
Cardamom-4
Cloves-5
Medium thick coconut milk-1 1/2 cups
Thick coconut milk-1/2 cup
Curry leaves
Salt

ingredients
Any fish( i am using Mullan Fish) - 500 gm
Shallots crushed - 8 to 10 no
Ginger Crushed - 2 inch piece
Garlic Crushed - - 5 big cloves ( if small cloves,
take 10 to 12 )
Green chillies - 2 to 3
Tomato - half of one
Curry leaves - - few
Kudampuli ( cocum) - 3 pieces
Kashmiri Red chilly powder - 3 tbsp ( Adjust spice level )
if regular Chilly powder
take 1 tbsp or more
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreeek powder (uluvappodi ) - 1/2 tsp
Coconut oil - 3 tbsp
Water 1.5 to 2 glass
salt required .

Prawns-1kg
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
chilli powder-1 1/2tbsp
vinegar-1tbsp
salt-1/2tsp
rest it for 30 minutes after marination.
step 2
frying
shallow fry prawns for 2-3 minutes..
step 3
oil-2tbsp
chopped ginger garlic-3tbsp
green chillies-3
onions-3
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
chilli powder-2tbsp.
garam masala-1/2tsp
pepper powder-1/2tsp
gambooge-2 ps
add 2 tbsp oil in a kaday ,add 2-3 tbsp chopped ginger garlic and fry it until raw
smell goes..
add2-3 chopped green chillies and curry leaves..
add finely chopped 3 large onions
and fry until onions become soft..
reduce the flame and add 1/2tsp Turmeric powder and 2tbsp chilli powder ,roast it until raw smell goes (2-3 minutes)..
add fried prawns and mix well with roasted masala..add gambooge and 1/2 glass hot water and cook for 3-4 minutes in medium to low flame..
finally add 1/2tsp garam masala and 1/2tsp pepper powder and cook for a minute
add fresh curry leaves and off the flame
