How To make French Curled Cookies
1/4 c Plus 2 tb butter or margarin
-e Softened 1 c Powdered sugar; sifted
2/3 c All-purpose flour
4 Egg whites
1 ts Vanilla extract

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add flour, egg whites, and vanilla; mix well. Divide a well-greased cookie sheet into four sections. Spoon 1-1/2 teaspoons batter in center of each section. Spread each portion of batter evenly with a spatula to make a 4- x 3-inch oval. Bake at 425 degrees for 3 minutes or until edges are golden. Loosen cookies with a metal spatula, but leave on cookie sheet. Place one cookie upside down on counter, and quickly roll it lengthwise around the handle of a wooden spoon. Remove cookie, and let cool on wire rack. Repeat procedure with remaining cookies as quickly as possible. (If cookies become too stiff before rolling, return cookie sheet to oven briefly to soften them.) Continue procedure with -----

Potatoes 3
Cornflour 3 tbsp
Plain Flour 3 tbsp (add only if your batter is runny)
Salt to taste
black pepper, red chilli flakes &powder, mix herbs acc to your taste.
Egg 1
Milk 2-3 tbsp
Oil for deep frying
Boil potatoes, discard the water and mash them.
Add all ingredients and mix very well. Put the mixture in a piping bag and pipe out your desired shapes, fry till golden brown and enjoyyy????

I have a confession: I am addicted to potatoes. I’ll take them mashed, baked, fried, in any shape or form. So today I’m going to have a little fun with my food and make curly fries! Not just any ordinary curly fries though - I’m adding truffle oil, furikake, and parmesan cheese to create an explosion of flavors.
Furikake Truffle Parmesan Curly Fries Recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 Potatoes
- Vegetable Oil
- ½ tsp Kosher Salt
- ½ tsp Truffle Oil
- 2 tsp Furikake
- Parmesan Cheese
DIRECTIONS:
I have two potatoes here that I’ll run through my spiralizer. You might have seen my Zoodles video ( where I made thin spirals of zucchini. But today I’m using a thicker blade to make delicious fries. Now I’ll head to the stove and fry them.
In a medium saucepan on medium high heat, I’ll add some vegetable oil ¾ of the way up. To test whether my oil is hot enough, all I’m going to do is take a chopstick and let it touch the bottom of my pan. If little bubbles start to emerge at the end of the stick, my oil is ready.
I’ll add my potatoes into the oil and let it fry for 5 minutes. Halfway through, I like to give it a flip so it cooks evenly. Once it’s ready, i’ll remove it with my spider strainer and add it to a bowl.
Now i have to move really quickly while the fries are still hot. I’ll add in a ½ tsp kosher salt, some truffle oil - about ½ tsp worth cause a little bit goes a long way. I’ll sprinkle some furikake on top, then give it a good shake. Furikake is the reason why I’m moving so quickly is because the seasonings stick to the oil better when the fries are still hot.
Finally, I’ll remove my fries and put it on my plate then grate some fresh parmesan cheese on top. These curly fries pair perfectly with my banh mi burger. Be sure to check that video out.
The fries are nice and crunchy and I love the little curls. There’s a nice subtle hint of truffle oil and it goes so well with the fresh cheese. YUM!
