How To make Homemade Bran Flakes
2 c Bran
2 c Whole wheat flour
1/2 c Nonfat dry milk powder
3 tb Brewer's yeast (optional)
1 t Salt
1/4 c Oil
1 tb Molasses
1 c Water
Combine dry ingredients. Make a well in the center and add oil,molasses and water. Mix well. Divide into three parts and roll out as thin as possible on greased cookie sheets. bake in 350 F oven 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned and crisp. If dough is not completely dry, turn oven off and let it remain longer. Break into small pieces. Store in airtight container. Makes 1 lb of cereal. Origin: Homemaking booklet, Mormon Church, 1978. Homemade Bran Flakes
Ingredients:
1. 150g wholemeal flour
2. 80g wheat bran
3. 2 tbsp of ground flaxseed
4. 1 tbsp oil
5. 1 tbsp malt extract
6. 1/2 tsp salt
7. 100-150ml water
Recipe:
1. Combine all dry ingredients together
2. Add and mix in wet ingredients using a table knife.
3. Use your hands to bring the mixture together to form a dough
4. Roll out dough, as flat as possible, between two sheets of parchment paper
5. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes at 150 degrees
6. Remove from oven and break into small flake-sized pieces then return to the oven for an additional 30 - 60 minutes (make sure mixture has fully dried out)
7. Remove from oven and allow to fully cool. then store in an air-tight container

• 1½ cups 100% all bran cereal
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1/3 cup coconut oil melted
• 1 large egg
• 2/3 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
✅Instructions
00:00:53 - What kind of bran cereal to use for muffins
1️⃣ 00:00:44 - Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray a muffin pan with nonstick spray or line with paper cups.
2️⃣ 00:00:53 - In a medium sized mixing bowl soak bran cereal and buttermilk for about 10 minutes until it gets all soggy.
3️⃣ 00:01:30 - Add in melted coconut oil, egg, brown sugar, vanilla extract, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir thoroughly. This mixture will be very thick.
4️⃣ 00:02:34 - Divide the batter equally among the 12 muffin cups, filling almost all the way full.
5️⃣ 00:02:57 - Bake in the preheated 450 degree oven for 5 minutes. Without opening the door, reduce the heat to 350 degrees and let the muffins continue baking another 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from the pan and cool on a wire rack.

3/4 cup almond flour
1 cup tapioca flour
1/3 cup coconut sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup coconut oil
1 egg
heaping tbsp of finely ground freeze dried fruit for each flavour you want! for the peach i added 1/4 tsp spirulina for color and you can’t taste it
325F for 15 minutes, then let cool so that they get crisp and crunchy!
