Top 10 foods to try in Ireland {Irish Cuisine}
Top 10 foods to try in Ireland
Irish cuisine is the style of cooking that originated from Ireland, an island in the North Atlantic; or was developed by the Irish people. It has evolved from centuries of social and political change, and the mixing of the different cultures in Ireland, predominantly the English and Irish-European (and, in Ulster, the Scottish). The cuisine is founded upon the crops and animals farmed in its temperate climate and the abundance of fresh fish and seafood from the surrounding clean waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Traditional Apple Cake from Kerry Ireland
Traditional Apple Cake from Kerry Ireland
#dessert #applecake #homechef
Hi guys, today's video is for a traditional Apple cake from Kerry Ireland. I moved to Kerry about 7yrs ago (for the love of a good woman) and this is one of my favourite dishes. Simple effective and when you cut the apples small enough, they dissolve into the cake, so you only know they're there when you try it. Its glorious just out of the oven warm with freshly whipped cream. It's also associated with Halloween as the apples are just ready to be used for baking.

CLODAGH’S BUTTER COOKIES (Makes 30 cookies)
INGREDIENTS:
8 oz Kerrygold unsalted butter
4 oz superfine sugar
10 oz all purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
METHOD:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 320oF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cream the butter and sugar together with a wooden spoon or in a food mixer. Until light and fluffy.
3. Sift in the flour gradually, and mix until the dough comes together.
4. Shape the dough into a sausage like shape, about 1inch in diameter, and cut off slices about .3 inch thick, and place them on the prepared baking tray. Using the back of a fork to slightly flattened them, and to give a ridged effect.
5. Then place the uncooked cookies in a fridge for 15 minutes. Then after that straight into the pre-heated oven for 15 minutes, or until a light golden color. Placing them in the fridge will give you a shorter, crunchier texture.
6. Remove from the butter cookies oven and the baking tray and on to a cool rack.
