It’s a perfect desert for St. Patrick’s cookout or any day in the year. Zesty with lots of layered lime flavor topped with a simple zest filled lime glaze. Let’s talk about the texture: it will stay moist And melt in your mouth. You will love this one, I promise!
Ingredients Used
For the cake
1 cup cold heavy whipping cream to make homemade whipped cream
3 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
3 sticks salted butter
5 eggs @room temp
1/4 cup sour cream at room temp
1/2 cup whole milk at room temp
3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp lime or lemon extract
3 Tbsp lemon zest
Green food coloring
For the glaze
3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp lime or Lemon extract
1 tsp lime zest
Mix the cake as instructed in the video, making sure that all ingredients are at room temperature. Bake cake at 325F for 70-80 minutes. Allow to cool completely before glazing.
Mix the ingredients for the glaze and spread all over the cool cake. Serve and Enjoy!

Key Lime Cake Ingredients:
• 1 cup Vegetable Oil
• 3 Large Eggs
• 1 1/3 cup Whole Milk
• 2 Tbsp Fresh Lime Zest
• 1 Tbsp Fresh Lime Juice
• 2 cups Sugar
• 2 cups Cake Flour
• 1 tsp Baking Powder
• ½ tsp Baking Soda
• 1 tsp Salt
Lime Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients:
• ½ cup Butter (softened)
• 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
• 4 - 4 ½ cups Confectioners (Powdered) Sugar

key lime pound cake- 2 cups butter,3 cups of cake flour, 6 eggs ,2 tsp of zest lime ,one fourth cup of key lime juice, 3 cups of sugar ,1/2 teaspoon of baking powder ,1/4 teaspoon of salt, one cup of milk ,two teaspoons of vanilla extract, and two or three drops of green food coloring.
glaze 2 cup of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 to 3 drops of green food coloring, 3 teaspoon of keylim juice and 2 teaspoon of milk
bake on 325 for 1hour and 20 minutes
