How To make No Bake Rum Balls
1 3/4 c Fine vanilla wafer crumbs
1 c Pecans; finely ground
1 c Confectioner's sugar;
-unsifted 1/4 c Cocoa
3 tb Light corn syrup
1/4 c Light rum; or bourbon
1/3 c Sifted confectioner's sugar
Place all but the last ingrdient in a bowl and mix well,using hands. Roll mixture into 1" balls and dredge in confectioner's sugar. These cookies will keep up to 10 days when stored in airtight canisters. From the New Doubleday Cookbook. -----

This rum balls recipe is so easy you can mix up a batch in under an hour and make ahead before Christmas. They use condensed milk and crushed biscuits with cocoa powder, coconut and the rum of your choice.
This easy rum balls recipe is the same one I grew up with here in Australia that mum would make when we were kids. You can easily adapt them to be kid-friendly rum balls by leaving out the rum!
Plus they freeze perfectly so make them up to a month before Christmas so there is one less thing on your to-do list!

These no-bake rum balls are one of my favorite things to make for the holiday season — they are super easy and super delicious. Everyone always raves. They can be made ahead and frozen, too. AND they make a great gift, too ????????????????????

INGREDIENTS
honey maid graham crumbs – 2 cups
icing sugar – 2 cups
almonds, toasted and grated – 4 ounces
walnuts, toasted and grated – 4 ounces
rum – 4 ounces
cocoa – 2 heaping tablespoons
corn syrup – 2 tablespoons
DIRECTIONS
in a large bowl, combine all ingredients, mix well using your hands. Once all ingredients are mixed well giving you a nice firm texture, roll the mixture into balls, then roll into your favorite topping and place in small cupcake liners.
TIP - watch Nonna for the perfect rolling technique!
Remember, no baking required!

Ingredients:
• 2 pack Chunkies biscuit, crushed
• 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
• 1 1/2 Caster Sugar
• 1/4 cup cocoa
• 1/4 cup dark rum
• 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
• 1/8 cup confectioners' sugar
Method:
1. In a large bowl, combine vanilla wafer crumbs, chopped nuts, 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar, and cocoa. Mix in rum and corn syrup. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll in confectioners' sugar.
2. Store rum balls in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days to develop flavor. Roll them again in confectioners' sugar before serving.

Recipe notes-
1) use any left over cake crumbs. I used a chocolate cake. Store bought cake can also be crumbled and used
2) use any dry fruits you like or even dried cranberries or raisins
3) if you want to skip rum, you could add orange juice instead and make it into chocolate #cakepops
4) sift your powdered sugar before adding it in to avoid any lumps

3 cups cake crumbs
3/4 cups icing sugar
1 cup pecan nuts
1/4 cup pistachios
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup rum
1/2 cup cocoa powder
While rolling:
