Easy Delicious Breakfast Recipe | Puff Pancake Recipe | Dutch Baby | German Pancake
The one where I take some excess farm fresh eggs and turn them into a delicious and simple breakfast recipe. Join us as we make this delicious Puff Baby Puff Pancake, German Pancake, Dutch Baby, sweet Yorkshire Pudding, Hootenannie, or whatever else you want to call it. A Puff Baby by any other name is still as sweet! In this video we make a cozy Fall Breakfast version with Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon, and cardamom. Yummy!
RECIPE:
In a cast iron pan, heat up 2 TBSP of butter as you preheat your oven to 425* F
In a bowl, whisk together 6 eggs, 1/4-1/2 cup of Sugar, a teaspoon of vanilla, teaspoon of salt, and if you prefer, spices to your preference. We used about a teaspoon of Cinnamon, a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, and a dash of cardamom.
Once combined, add 1 Cup of Flour and whisk until lumps removed
Then add 1 Cup of cold milk
Pour combined batter into the hot cast iron pan once the oven has reached the preheated temp.
Cook at 425*F for about 20 minutes.
Top with honey or syrup, or enjoy plain.

In the oven, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a 12-inch ovenproof skillet for three to five minutes. While that's melting, beat four eggs in a medium bowl with a whisk until they're smooth. Add to this pancake recipe 2/3 cup of flour, 2/3 cup of milk, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Beat until everything it's smooth, then pour it immediately into the skillet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. While the homemade pancake recipe is baking, you can start making the sweet sauce. To a saucepan, add 1/2 cup of butter and 1/3 cup of packed brown sugar, cooking and stirring until the butter melts. Stir in 2 tablespoons of light rum or apple juice along with 3 sliced medium bananas to create an irresistible combination.
